Tsubota Aika is known for receiving the 1993 Global 500 Roll of Honor ,postmortem, for her comic book {{nihongo|Secrets of the Earth|地球の秘密}}. She wrote the award winning environmental comic book as a school project in the 6th grade. Ms. Tsubota died the day after finishing Secrets of the Earth.Tsubota, A (1991) Secrets of the Earth, Foundation for Global Peace and Environment ISBN-13: 978-4883383078 Her story was included in the Japanese English text book, New Horizon.
Secrets of the Earth is printed in Japanese and English by the Foundation for Global Peace and Environment.
