Physics Envy (a mindfully patriarchical perspective)
Physics envy: The desire of metaphysical thinkers to possess the powers of discernment belonging to those rigorous enough to learn and employ the methods of science. Physics envy (sometimes called science envy) is commonly expressed as a form of displacement whereby a metaphysical thinker maps her metaphysical beliefs onto scientific discoveries and convinces herself that her beliefs have the same empirical powers as science.
