Egisto Cuneo (1890 - 1972) was an American artist. He was born on June 3, 1890, in San Francisco, California. Egisto was the younger brother of Cyrus Cuneo (1876-1916) and Rinaldo Cuneo (1877-1939), both artists. Cuneo died on January 24, 1972, in San Francisco, California.
Biography
Egisto was born in California as the youngest child of Guiseppi "John" Cuneo (who had emigrated from Liguria in Northern Italy in 1848) and Annie Garibaldi (b. 1852; whose family had emigrated from Italy in 1848). Following in the footsteps of his older brothers, Egisto studied art in Europe.
Egisto married Ruth and had three children, Barbara, Doris and Gordon. Much of his art focused on Pearl River, New York near where the family made their home.
Egisto Cuneo died on January 24, 1972, in San Francisco, California.
