If we could find sources the list of tours would be cool to do, but like you said, their earilier stuff might not be avalible on the internet. If nothing else we could just do what we do have sources for and see if its enough to get an article out of. Since Slipknot doesn't have line-up changes like NIN we'd probably have to figure out some new way to make it look cool (breaking new ground once again, WHOO). We could also probably find enough to get a single up to GA, All Hope Is Gone (song) and Psychosocial (song) probably have enough on the internet to get decent length out of. I don't know if you've seen Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Slipknot Demo yet, it hasn't attracted much attention. And as seen on that page, Slipknot now has their [http://slipknot.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page own wiki]; I've personally never paid much attention to other Wikis and would much rather spend time working on stuff here, but may we could copy some articles here over there. ::How does the reception for the album look? It's certainly the most reviewed album so far. I question the reliability of Buzznet, while it does have a good review, the site seems blog-like; what do you think? I'll write something up, but just wanted to make sure it's legit. It can't be worse than the guy from The Quietus who stated that the members are in their 40's and "can’t stand each other"; despite the fact that neither one of those statements are factually accurate at all. ::::I played around with the order some, trying to figure out a good order. I basicially made the first paragraph about the overall album and the second about individual songs; though the overlap some. It also kind of incorporates what you said about the "melody" and "heaviness" as most individual track reviews talked about them being heavy or experimental, etc. I think the "flow" could still be improved on a bit, but there's only so many ways to say "Mr. X of magazine Y said THAT about AHIG." Like I said, it can still be improved, but I think its good enough to go to the article; maybe we could get Gary King or someone to look at it at some point. ::::::I wouldn't include the Mayhem Fest because it has its own article, but it should be mentioned in the lead. I've usually found Opium pretty reliable, I could look for some sources soon as I have a database through school that can search newspaper articles from all around the US and it can ususally turn up some pretty obscure stuff. If that fails, we could e-mail the guy who runs it, he's good about replying. As for the genre thing, we might as well start with MFKR or Slipknot and go through in order; if you want to do the first one and I could do the next, etc. I guess just look what each review classifies them as and list them. Like:

• Nu metal
• Rolling Stone (link)
• EW (link)
• Heavy metal
• Tune lab (link)

Yeah, that'd be fine. They were the headliner or atleast the "main attraction" for Mayhem, weren't they? You could add a "See also..." to the section. I went through and did the genre things on the talk pages, most sites were broader categories than I thought. We could probably just say "Heavy metal, Alt. metal" on most of them because nobody even mentioned "Nu metal". Since nobody else has come up with conflicting sources we could probably add those soon with a hidden message before an after (like that'll stop them) like usual. • The FA reviewers have become more picky about non-free images, so I’m sure we can use the album cover, but the Crahan one and the first teaser poster might have to go. We have plenty live pictures that are free, so maybe we could keep the same number of pictures, just say “Crahan did this during recording” or something to that effect. I like both images, but I can understand the whole “puropose of WP is to be a free encyclopedia” explanation.
• I was thinking about changing the image to him drumming or something, because I made a point about the guys writing separately in the Recording and production section. I was kind of weird writing that, having never heard the album, but after reading those reviews I'll pick it up if I ever see it. Hey man, just wanted to know how it fails that policy when I have explained in the fair-use rationale how I believe it passes that. So to quote myself; "The photo is being used solely for informational purposes and its inclusion in the article adds significantly to the article because the photo and its historical significance are the object of discussion in the article." Same again... to quote myself: "The image is used for identification in the context of critical commentary of the work for which it served as a promotional image. It makes a significant contribution to the user's understanding of the article, which could not practically be conveyed by words alone." Oh really. In response to your reply to my comment on slipknots talk page. Colsefini was still a member of the band while the Self-titled album was being recorded. I do apologize, for I cannot find any reliable sources that solidify my claim that Colsefini did perform percussion parts on the album, but I do know that he can be heard on several of the songs. Take the track "Me inside" for example. He can be heard screaming in the intro of it. Once again I apologize for pursuing this argument so vigorously, as I was drunk when I first made the note on the Slipknot talk page, and was convinced that I was right. Hey, thank you for clearing that up for me. Thing is though, unless one of the members speaks out, then we have a problem.

Just for us maggots, I'm gonna do some deep research, and if we can get something from this, then it would be better for all of us (sic) fans out there.

The only other way i can prove these songs existed is with torrents, but then I'd get in more trouble for that.
