This Page is the article that I'm trying to create.

Introduction

The SLR650 was released in 1997 by Honda, and is a more road-biased version of the NX650 Dominator. It possesses a 644cc, SOHC air cooled, 4 valve, dry sump, single cylinder engine, derived from the XR650. The SLR650 has a rectangular-section steel backbone frame which doubles as an oil reservoir for the dry sump engine. The SLR650 is equipped with Brembo brakes and was also equipped with semi-knobbed Pirelli tyres as standard.{{Citation |magazine= Cycle World |date= 24 February 1997 |volume= 36 |title= Multi-purpose single }}{{Citation |url= http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/bikereviews/searchresults/Bike-Reviews/Honda/Honda-SLR650Vigor-1996-2001/ |magazine= Motorcycle News |date= 08 March 2012 |title= Honda SLR650/Vigor (1996-2001) }}

The production of the SLR650 was halted in 1999 and it was re-released as the FX650 Vigor which continued to be produced until 2001.

Accessories and Components

The SLR650 received some negative attention due to not possessing certain accessories other motorcycles do, for example, the SLR650 does not have a centre stand or a Tachometer. There was also complaint of the headlight being poor.

The SLR650 is equipped with both front and rear single disc brakes and has a fuel capacity of 13 litres.
