Andre R. Biography

He grew up bilingual, speaking Spanish and German. At the American Film Institute Conservatory, he studied production and directing and graduated with a Master of Fine Arts degree. He worked at the José Simeón Cañas Central American University's Centro de Audiovisuales and at the Jesuit School José Simeón Cañas Central American University in El Salvador and then at the Verde Valley School as well as in the companies Tallerista and Presidente Ascine.{{Cite web|last=|first=|date=|title=Andre Guttfreund {{!}} Official page|url=https://www.facebook.com/aguttfreund|url-status=live|archive-url=|archive-date=|access-date=2020-08-22|website=Facebook|language=en}} He has been president of the Salvadoran Film and Television Association (Ascine) since 2012 and was re-elected in 2014. After graduating from his master's degree in theatre in London, Guttfreund was invited there by Walter Béneke, the then Minister of Education of El Salvador, to start the "Educative Television" project with him. In this capacity, he also worked as an adviser to the Ministry of Economic Affairs between 2014 and 2016. He has also appeared in various roles in television series in the United States and Spain, such as the dramatic series L.A. Law and Picket Fences and the comedy series Periodistas.
