Shaw 650

The Shaw 650 is a high performance sailing boat, which is considered part of the sportsboat class of yacht.

While it is a trailer sailer in that it is launched off a trailer, and has a retracting keel, it is best described as a racing retracting keel day sailor, without accomodation.

Currently, the Shaw 650 can be purchased as a complete boat Shaw 650 production boat or designs can be sourced from the yacht designer Shaw Yacht Design , and the boat can be built by hand.

In terms of performance, the Shaw 650 is of similar speed to a Thompson 750 or Melges 24, both designs with substantially more waterline and overall length than the Shaw.
