Erik Möller of the Wikimedia Foundation (User:Eloquence) informs us that another 200 free Credo Reference accounts may be available for distribution. There was an earlier distribution of 100 accounts in March this year. There's [http://corp.credoreference.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=121&Itemid=68 a list here] of the reference works the accounts would give us access to.
If you'd like to be considered for an account, please add your name to the list. The criteria are:
- You must have been a regular content contributor to any Wikipedia project for at least one year.
- You should have at least 1,000 edits to articles (not 1,000 edits overall, but specifically to articles).
- You should not already have access to Credo, or any similar database, through a university or local library. Apparently everyone in the UK with a local library card does have Credo access, though you might want to check to make sure you do.
- You should explain why you need an account, and how you'd use it to benefit Wikipedia.
