Meta AkkusMeta Akkus [http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2470753/resume sur Imdb] is a French film director, producer and screenwriter, commercial and music videos director.

Meta spent her childhood in Istanbul before returning to France at the age of 11 years.

She went to school in Paris growing up in the most romantic city in the world, she was inspired to let her imagination run wild and write stories from a very early age.

Encouraged by her French language teacher to take acting classes,Meta Akkus attended a number of different theatre schools for seven years. Inspired by one of her acting teacher's directing ability, she put her acting on hold, to write and to direct her first play in 1997 "Le Temps N'existe Pas" (Time does not exist).

After studying acting at Paris Mercure, Theatre de Bastille, Meta Akkus started directing theatre performances and making her own short films. In 1998 Akkus wrote and directed her first short film La Solitude and it was this film that brought her to London. She decided to study and work in films in London. She got a job in an editing house in Soho. Meta then made a music video for Sean Kelly, "Deep and Meaningless" and another short film "Unsatisfaction".

He joined BBD Production in Paris as an exclusive commercial director an directed popular campaigns for Chanel, CK, Lux, and Mieux-Etre. She made her mark as a beauty commercial director. Her work in these areas is often noted for its originality and its special atmosphere of sensuality and visual sensibility.

Since then Meta has also directed a number of music videos.

She also directed a documentary "Last Train" about Turkey's position during the Second World War.

In 2010 Meta Akkus started her London based company Meta Pictures Entertainment.

Meta is currently working on a film she co-wrote with Joe O'Byne, "The Pattern" a beautiful love story set in London and Istanbul in 1955, slated for release in 2011.
