Almeida is a melodic hardcore band from Southampton and Brighton in the United Kingdom. The band has also been referred to as punk, metal, and progressive thrash. Many people have referenced Sikth, Propagandhi, A Wilhelm Scream, Protest the Hero, Between the Buried and Me and Dragonforce as artists similar to the band in style. The name 'Almeida' is a reference to the character Tony Almeida from the U.S serial drama "24".
