Cavendish Conference Centre is located at 22 Duchess Mews London W1G 9DT, in the London Borough of Westminster The centre lies beneath a number of Grade 11 buildings designed by the [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Adam] Adam Brothers.

Pehaps most important is Thomas Hope's House in Duchess Street (celebrated regency connisseur, collector and designer and author) known originally as Clerk House and latter renamed Duchess Mansion the house was built by Adam in 1768 -71, after fire damage it was rebult again by Adam for Clerk and his wife the former dowager countess of Warwick at her expense in 1771-1775. This is and was a fashionable part of town with the Earls of Bessborough, Gainsborough, Harcourt and Winchelsea A point made in Taraa Draper, Chandos House, georgian Group Journal, Vol V11, 1997living nearby.
