Prognosis

Wikipedia will never be a reliable source. It is true that there are a lot of very intelligent experts here, as well as seemingly countless well-meaning smart people. However, there are also too many activists, trolls, and various other types of ignoramuses. Therefore, Wikipedia is bound to be mediocre at best, and downright wrong at worst. Between stupidity and malice, there are already an incredible number of bad articles. Oh well, it's mildly entertaining anyway - so, I'll continue to visit every now and then.
