I have a master's degree in maths (thesis title: "Models of Groups over the Field with One Element", supervised by Dr. Corneliu Hoffman). I have also studied chemistry and physics up to 'A' level. My pronouns are he/him.

This account is a continuation of the now-inactive account Donutmug, as I decided it would be better to edit under my real name.

• I have appeared on University Challenge, representing the University of Birmingham in the 49^th series of the programme.
• It is thought that my family name comes from the village of Sculthorpe in Norfolk.

I'm interested ina variety of subjects, including:

• Japanese history (particularly the bakumatsu and Meiji restoration)
• Early medieval European history (particularly involving Cnut and Leif Eriksson)
• Chinese history and Chinese cuisine
