Thanks for spotting User:Ihateyougrace -- I've blocked the account now. If you need to report vandalism urgently, you can do so at the vandalism noticeboard, where it can be seen by admins who can pick it up and take action. Again, thanks, -- The Anome (talk) 21:36, 17 November 2012 (UTC)
WP:3O at [[16:10]]
With regards to the 3O you offered at 16:10 - there has been a development. Namely, User:Acoriofs (the other editor in the dispute) has been blocked as a sockpuppet of a previous disruptive editor at the same article. Although that sort of renders the dispute moot, I'd still appreciate it if you could offer your opinion on User:Acoriofs' viewpoint (which he managed to post before the block), as well as the couple of edits to the article since then by other users. Cheers! Indrek (talk) 14:09, 26 November 2012 (UTC)
[[Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Justin P. Wayoro]]
Hello. You are one of four editors who inspected/declined Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Justin P. Wayoro for reasons other than blatant copyvio. This article was merely a bunch of text cobbled together from various sites. Step one in reviewing an article for creation should be to dump a string into google to see if it is a copyvio. If it is, the text should be immediately removed and an inspection of any images should be undertaken. In this case, the style of writing should have set of all sorts of copyvio alarm bells in your mind. Cheers, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 18:17, 1 December 2012 (UTC)
:Thanks for the heads up. It was written so poorly, I didn't think to check for that. Paulthomas2 (talk) 19:28, 1 December 2012 (UTC)
Logaholic
Hello,
You just declined Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Logaholic and suggested that I add Logaholic to List of web analytics software. I already did this a week ago, but my contribution was deleted almost immediately. Logaholic wasn't notable enough for that list(according to the reviewer), because it didn't even has it's own article. Logaholic has millions of users worldwide, it sure is a software program that does belong in that list. What do you recommend that I do now?
Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cvdvelde (talk • contribs) 13:55, 5 December 2012 (UTC)
: I'm going to re-add it to the list. The reviewer's logic is a bit flawed. There are tons of redlinks and links to companies. Also, with 425K hits on a google search, it's certainly notable. I just didn't think there was enough content in the AfC submission to justify its own page. Paulthomas2 (talk) 14:12, 5 December 2012 (UTC)
diff text is an original implementation yet you discarded it
The implementation behind Diff Text has 2 - 3 truly original ideas that improve
the computer science longest common subsequence algorithm.
On these grounds you should reconsider your rejection of the article on it.
Anyway can try out the software using any web browser for free and verify its claims.
It detects moves. Properly. Without guessing. Without getting it wrong half the time.
I have compared its implementation to the one in Microsoft Word. Diff Text spots ALL THE TEXT MOVEMENTS.
Microsoft Word is quicker but it fails to spot all the movements.
THIS IS AN ORIGINAL CONTRIBUTION TO COMPUTER SCIENCE YET YOU REJECTED IT.
The implementation is original.
So you reject an article even though it references an original contribution to computer science algorithm because
it has no references, but anyone can verify its claims for free just by visiting the website.
It needs no references because once you visit the website you can enter your text and get it to perform the diff.
IT DETECTS TEXT MOVEMENTS PROPERLY ALL THE TIME AND IN A WAY THAT IF two possible movements are possible the one picked is
the best one.
Please thing again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Diff-text (talk • contribs) 15:04, 8 December 2012 (UTC)
:Hi, I see that you're new here at Wikipedia, so I'm going to respond to your question as dispassionately as I can. There are several things problematic with your submission.
:#Given your username and edit history, it seems you have a potential conflict of interest with respect to this article and are likely involved in some way with the diff-text website/project.
:#There exist three core content policies at Wikipedia that we try to maintain and expect others to maintain. They are: 1) Neutral point of view, 2) Verifiability and 3) No original research. Your [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Diff_Text&oldid=526807896 contribution] is at odds with those policies. While it may be true that the algorithm is new and unique, unless there are reliable sources to verify that claim, the claim can't be made without constituting original research.
:If you still believe that I am in error, please resubmit to articles for creation. You have my word that I will not comment further on your submission and will allow other wikipedia editors to assess the article. Regards Paulthomas2 (talk) 16:38, 8 December 2012 (UTC)
thanks for your reply
If you look at the Wikipedia WinMerge entry at
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winmerge
You will find there is not much more independent sources backing that up. They have an entry in Lifehacker. My one has an entry in HVG Weekly.
I had an idea how to make an algorithm detect moved text. It works. In its own small way it is an original idea.
To verify what I said, anyone can use the free software or even just look at the attached screenshot.
It is a piece of free software that works. You will find lots of software entry articles on Wikipedia without
hard verifiable sources backing them up. WinMerge is one.
If you have to have a source backing up a claim that is very easy to prove in a few minutes just by using the software then it is wrong.
It is just like having a source trying to prove Paris is the capital of France.
I had an original idea. It is a small contribution to the world. I just want to get news of it out. This is not commerical.
Anyone can use it for free.
Thanks for your time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Diff-text (talk • contribs) 22:45, 8 December 2012 (UTC)
afc
- I did not delete the AfC for Rauschenburger. I just removed the copyvio and rewrote the lede paragraph, and sent it back to the original author for details. We do not delete articles for copyvio unless the entire article is copyvio, or so much of it that it can be readily removed. DGG ( talk ) 06:46, 10 December 2012 (UTC)

My submission on Waman P Bhonsle
Hi Paul,
The person about whom I have submitted the article, Waman P Bhonsle, is one of the foremost movie editors in the Indian film industry, popularly known as Bollywood.
I did not clearly understand the reason of decline now. Can you please help me understand what "wikify" means?
Thanks
