Welcome to my talk page.
Please note that I prefer to have substantial discussions about individual articles on their own talk pages rather than here, so that all editors of those articles can see them and contribute.
Please also note that I prefer conversations to be in one place. I will reply to comments where they are left and, if necessary, transfer comments back to the original talk page where the conversation was initiated.

Class-rating categories
I didn't make any change to anything. Somebody else did, somewhere that I can't find (and probably in a module which I couldn't edit anyway), which has caused redlinked "pages" categories to start proliferating at Special:WantedCategories — there are currently over 200 of them. I've asked at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Military history for somebody to fix whatever got broken, but so far my request has gone unaddressed — but something needs to be done, because they can't just be left to sit red. If they don't go away on their own by virtue of somebody fixing whatever got changed, then I simply have no choice but to create all of them as categoryredirects, because just leaving them on WantedCategories forever isn't an option. :I was referring to moves like [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Category:Start-Class_Help_articles&diff=prev&oldid=1295414857 this one]. I'll ask at the Village Pump if anyone can sort this out. Timrollpickering (talk) 21:24, 16 June 2025 (UTC)
::That's the exact same thing I was talking about: I was trying to fix a redlink that was being autogenerated by a template after somebody else's misguided edit to a module, which was spewing out hundreds of unfixable redlinked categories. I already escalated it to WP:VPT earlier today due to the lack of response at the Wikiproject, and the problem's already been found and fixed. Bearcat (talk) 21:26, 16 June 2025 (UTC)
