Recent changes

  • The ORES service has now moved to [https://ores.wikimedia.org a new location]. This should make it easier to use ORES. The ORES review service is now available as a beta feature on Wikidata and Persian Wikipedia. ORES is an artificial intelligence system for Wikimedia wikis to help editors. June Blitz: this one-week copy-editing blitz ran from 12 through 18 June; the themes were video games and Asian geography. Of the 18 editors who signed up, 11 removed 47 articles from the backlog. Barnstars and rollover totals are located here. Thanks to all editors who took part.

Coordinator elections:

The second tranche of Guild coordinators for 2016, who will serve a six-month term until 23:59 UTC on 31 December, have been elected.

For her long service to the Guild, {{noping|Miniapolis}} has been enrolled in the GOCE Hall of Fame. Thanks to everyone who voted in the election; our next scheduled one occurs in December 2016. July Drive:

Our month-long July Copy Editing Backlog Elimination Drive is now underway. Our aim is to remove articles tagged for copy-edit in April, May and June 2015, and to complete all requests on the GOCE Requests page from June 2016. The drive ends at 23:59 on 31 July 2016 (UTC).

Recent changes

  • Notifications are grouped by types. They are now counted by number of notifications and not by unread groups. That change may increase the number of notifications displayed. The earlier way of counting was often incorrect. Unread notifications will also be displayed first.   • Special:Notifications now has a maximum width for the notifications list on desktop computers. This allows long titles and descriptions to be cut properly. Problems

  • On 5 July Wikimedia Commons had problems and could not be edited for 20 minutes. For a short while after that the recent changes log and some gadgets were not working properly.   • Users who have multiple unread notifications can mark them as read by visiting Special:Notifications page on their wiki.

Changes this week

  • File:Octicons-sync.svg The new version of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from 12 July. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis and some Wikipedias from 13 July. It will be on all wikis from 14 July (calendar).

Correction of comments

Hi Mr.Clpo13, I am Arman ad60. I made the comments in the Persian talk pages. I had removed them because my English is not very good. I had requested Mr. Jimbo Wales and he accepted it. But I don't like it as they still remain there as tags. People may still search them and see the messages. I don't understand where is the problem in removing them. They have already been deleted. What is the problem if I remove them altogether.

Thank you for editing the format and deleting the list in the Emily Bear aricle.I did not create this but I did not want to because I did not feel entitled to do this.

All the informations I posted are really central. As I wrote on the Cullum talk page I could post informations, facts, photos , spam topping the size of Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Jackie Evancho combined ;) but that was not my goal.

Problems

  • For some users, cross-wiki notifications haven't been working properly. The count has been wrong when only cross-wiki notifications were present. The cross-wiki bundle has been showing only the names of wikis and not the actual notifications. This will be fixed soon. Changes this week
