Managing a conflict of interest

File:Information.svg Hello, 65.88.88.70. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{tl|edit COI}} template), including links or details of reliable sources that support your suggestions;
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see {{Section link|Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI}});
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see {{Section link|Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming}});
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you.{{#ifexpr: ({{#time: U | now}} - 1732565346) < 13150000 | {{PAGENAME}} | }} Kingsmasher678 (talk) 20:09, 25 November 2024 (UTC)

File:Information orange.svg Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to :G. Roger Denson. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. [[G. Roger Denson]]

Thank you for your contributions to G. Roger Denson, however I had to remove it due to a couple of issues: (1) it was not formatted properly and would be impossible for a reader to find the sources within the article (see WP:Manual of Style for guidelines on layout and sourcing); (2) it was not written in a neutral, encyclopedic tone per WP:NEUTRAL. If you'd like to work on a draft that you can then incorporate into the article, you can do so at Draft:G. Roger Denson. ... discospinster talk 17:38, 17 January 2025 (UTC)

: Please read WP:CITE. You are making a huge mess of that article. OhNoitsJamie Talk 16:44, 14 February 2025 (UTC)
