Formatting convnetions

Please allow me to assist you with formatting of mathematical formulas. Look at [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Pascal%27s_rule&diff=next&oldid=243042982 this edit]. Please note:

There is a difference between the following three things:

:: $a + ... + b \,$

:: $a + \dots + b \,$

:: $a + \cdots + b \,$

: There is also a difference between these:

:: $a,...,b \,$

:: $a,\dots,b \,$

: I prefer using \dots between commas and \cdots between instances of "+" or the like, or between factors being multiplied. But \dots or \cdots should be used rather than "...".

For writing things like this

:: $\begin{align}
& \quad a + \cdots + z \\
& = b + \cdots + y \\
& = pq \\
& = 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + \cdots,
\end{align}$

: with vertically aligned "equals" signs, you should use the "align" environment, not the "matrix" environment.

"Displayed" TeX in Wikipedia should be indented by a single initial colon, thus

:: $a + \cdots + c$ ,

: not by using

. (If the paragraph in which the display appears is already indented, then more than one initial colon should be used.)
