[[2009 Super League season results]]

Hi. As outlined on my talkpage both here and here, please refrain from publishing fixtures on this page. For one, the page is a results page, not a fixture list, and secondly (and far more importantly), the fixtures are copyright of Super League Europe, and we don't have permission to display them on Wikipedia. I have conducted a reassessment of the above article as part of the GA Sweeps process. You are being notified as you have made a number of contributions to the article. I have found some concerns which you can see at Talk:Melbourne Storm/GA1. I have placed the article on hold whilst these are fixed. Thanks. Jezhotwells (talk) 20:19, 24 February 2010 (UTC)

United States Grand Prix

Please do not add "Not Helds" to Grand Prix articles until a race is held. The Not Helds are used to indicate gaps between races, and there will not be a gap in the USGP history until the 2012 race takes place. Otherwise you would have a case where like the Ducth Grand Prix, defunct since 1985, would have its "Not Held" bumped up incrementally each year for no actual purpose. --Falcadore (talk) 02:02, 28 May 2012 (UTC)

Melbourne Storm titles

With regards to the following [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Melbourne_Storm&diff=506865509&oldid=506865025 diff], the reason for the edit is listing premierships with an asterisk and footnote presents a misleading representation of the truth. The implication of an asterisk is that there is an existing and valid title with a caveat attached to it, when in reality it is a non-existent title with some history behind it. By valid analogy, it would be the equivalent of listing Alberto Contador with an asterisk as the winner of the 2010 Tour de France in List of Tour de France winners, or listing "2010 Tour de France" with an asterisk in the infobox in Alberto Contador.

Your comment that "Everyone knows they were stripped" holds no weight. Only people familiar with the subject matter know that the titles were stripped. Wikipedia must be written to an audience of people who are both familiar and unfamiliar with the subject matter.

I have returned the presentation of that information to the way I proposed it. I see valid alternatives as being showing the dates with a strikethrough to make a stronger statement that those titles are not considered valid, or to not show the stripped titles at all as per the infobox; but, my preference is for my edit because the meaning is unambiguous. [[WP:ACE2015|ArbCom elections are now open!]]

Hi,

You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. References in the 2016 Melbourne Storm Season Article

Hi Anderch,

I have slowly been progressing through the references in the 2016 Melbourne Storm season, ensuring that the sourced material are using the correct templates and are filled in correctly (I still have a few references to update). I see that you are the main contributor to the article and thought I would communicate with you directly as to what I have done and why so that you can use these measures in your future edits. When referencing a source it is important to use the correct template. You can find examples of all possible templates here. For example, you have referenced the NRL website using the news template when in fact you should have used the web template. In addition, when referencing you should include the accessdate field (which not only includes the month and year of access but also the day), and where ever possible also the date the webpage was created. Also, when you have multiple information which is covered a single reference rather than insert the same reference multiple times, instead use a ref name in your reference so that you can cite the one reference as many times as you like. Have a look at the references I have so far edited in the article for examples of what I am referring.

Hope this information helps and if you have any queries don't hesitate to contact me on my talk page.

Thanks for your contributions and keep up the good work,

Forbesy 777 (talk) 02:12, 9 March 2016 (UTC)

:I have just been notified you reverted one of my edits and removed one of my others in your recent edits to the page and so I wanted to communicate with you directly as to why I have gone reverted them back to mine. Wikipedia requires everything to be verifiable - and as such everything that is written should be accompanied by a reliable reference. When you added additional details to the Season Summary section regarding Billy Slater's injury you removed my reference and added a new one. Now although it is great that you added a reference for the Slater injury details, there is nothing in that reference as to the details listed prior to that (i.e. Storm's victory over the Dragons and Marika's 50th game). As such, both references are required. Secondly, the NRL.com website is not a newspaper or equivalent. As such, when referencing it you should use the website reference template and not the news template. Thanks, Forbesy 777 (talk) 23:56, 15 March 2016 (UTC)
