List of archivists
Hello Anna. I created the list of archivists, and I saw you added many more names, thank you. Now I'm converting it into a table, adding more info, explaining why they are relevant in the archives area. Can you please add some info for the names you added? Take the time you need. emijrp (talk) 13:41, 8 January 2015 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of :Hugh Taylor (archivist)
A tag has been placed on :Hugh Taylor (archivist) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://archivesalberta.org/membership/awards-and-honours/hugh-taylor. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 23:29, 4 February 2017 (UTC)

The comment the reviewer left was:
{{divbox|blue|3=This article is not yet reliably sourced for the purposes of establishing that she's notable enough to be in Wikipedia. The references need to be to journalism appearing in media, not to the self-published websites of the organizations involved -- for instance, "One Book One Province" might help her notability if it were referenced to a news article about its selection, but does not help if you rely on the Saskatchewan Library Association's own website as your source.
Similarly, Q&A interviews in which she's speaking about herself are not support for notability -- they can be sparingly used as additional referencing for some facts amid a mix of more solid sources, but they are not in and of themselves notability makers if they are the best sources you can show. We also don't collect directories of interviews as an "external links" section: interviews that are being used as referencing get used the same way as any other reference (i.e. directly footnoting the facts that they support), and are just not listed in the article at all if they're not being used as actual footnotes. The "external links" section is for her website, not for collecting extra sourcing above and beyond the references.
Basically, the only source here that's getting her off the starting blocks so far is the Quill & Quire piece about the Danuta Gleed shortlist -- but that's not enough to get her to the finish line all by itself. There are stronger sources out there that you can use, so it's very likely that this will be approvable in the future if you put in some effort to improve it, but it's just not ready yet in the current state.
The kind of sources you really want to use include news articles about her in major media like this and this, critical reviews about her books in newspapers or magazines or literary journals, and on and so forth. I'm willing to help out if you need some advice, so feel free to approach me on my talk page if you have any questions about whether a new source would be suitable or not, but I'm not going to just fix it for you. So your path forward is this: keep the Quill & Quire reference, replace everything else with actual media coverage, and then let me know when you're done and I'll take another peek at it to see if it's ready yet.}} Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. I just wanted to assure you that there's definitely an open path to getting the article approved — there are definitely worthy notability claims, and the kind of referencing that really needs to be shown to support them is out there — it's just that my role as an AFC reviewer is to guide the draft creators toward quality wikiwork rather than to fix the issues myself. Like I said, I'm willing to help out if you need some assistance in improving the references, so feel free to approach me on my talk page if you have any questions — with a little more work to provide stronger references, I'd be happy to approve it. Hi Anna St.Onge You seem to keep adding external links into the body of the article, which is strictly against policy, e.g Brenda Child. If you keep doing it you're going to get blocked. Wikipedia isn't webhost, where you can arbitarily link to anything. Certainly the software allows, but it against policy. scope_creepTalk 00:26, 30 March 2021 (UTC)

File:Information.svg Hi Anna St.Onge! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on WikipediaSnd it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. :Thanks for the clarification. I will be mindful moving forward. Anna St.Onge (talk) 21:28, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
A pie for you!

Hi there, Anna St.Onge, and welcome to Women in Red. It's good to have such an experienced librarian as a new member. In addition to improvements to existing articles, I see that over the past two or three years you have contributed over 40 detailed women's biographies. Concern and request regarding List_of_The_Dini_Petty_Show_episodes
Hello, My name is James and while researching an obscure piece of lore I found myself on your Dini Petty Show episodes page. I see that you are by far the largest contributor to these pages and Im trying to find out the date a specific episode was filmed. I believe the episode Im looking for happened in 1993 and I assume is part of her 4th season. It's the episode where she has WWF Superstar Bret Hart on the show.
I was simply hoping to find out when you planned on working on this project next so I can check back for updates. Or, if it's easier, if you could check your archives for the date of that episode I would be greatly appreciative. Thank you in advance! Golbez01 (talk) 12:55, 17 January 2024 (UTC)
:: Hi Golbez01, Bret Hart was interviewed by Dini Petty on September 21, 1993, most likely for broadcast on October 1st. The details that are mentioned on some of the YouTube video dubs align with what Hart was doing in 1993 and it would make sense that he would be on the show to promote the cage match that was scheduled for 31 October 1993 at Maple Leaf Gardens. That said, my understanding is the physical tape that was labelled as featuring Bret Hart in the archives did not contain the actual segment on it . The only other Dini Petty episodes I'm aware of that include Bret Hart is an episode from 1997 and an omnibus episode that was aired in 1999 . You may want to reach out to the Clara Thomas Archives & Special Collections by email (archives@yorku.ca) to see if digitized copies of the recordings are available to researchers. The physical recordings will include recording dates. Good luck with your research! Anna St.Onge (talk) 21:13, 21 January 2024 (UTC)
:::Thank you SO much for your swift reply! Actually, the date itself that you provided was all I needed! Thank you again! Golbez01 (talk) 13:16, 31 March 2024 (UTC)

BLAR notice
Hi there. While reviewing new pages, I noticed that a page you created, List of The Dini Petty Show episodes, likely does not meet Wikipedia's notability guidelines as a standalone article. As an alternative to deletion, I've redirected it to The_Dini_Petty_Show#Seasons. If you disagree, feel free to revert my redirect and we can proceed to a deletion discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. Thanks! Dclemens1971 (talk) 18:59, 10 September 2024 (UTC)
:Hello @Dclemens1971 I created the List of The Dini Petty Show episodes page based on the templates that I have seen used by participants of the Television WikiProject. If you think linking the season pages to a section within The Dini Petty Show entry proper is more appropriate, I'd welcome the edit! Where I'm not clear if you're also suggesting that the standalone articles for each season (1,2,3 with seasons 4+ in draft) that include episode lists based on the Television WikiProject templates, should be deleted as well and the content folded under the #Seasons section of the main page. Should I stop investing my time in building out these lists with secondary source documentation because in the end, it will all be deleted due to notability arguments? Anna St.Onge (talk) 20:25, 22 September 2024 (UTC)
::Hi there and thanks for the question. I don't think there's any need to stop creating articles for each season and I wouldn't nominate those for deletion. There's just no need for a standalone list of episodes if (as was the case before) the list is just linking to an article for each individual season. That can easily be handled within The Dini Petty Show page, which is already very short (see WP:SPLITTING and WP:NOPAGE). If either page grows substantially in the future, then a split can be done at that time. You can link to the articles about each season from The_Dini_Petty_Show#Seasons. Hope this helps explain my thoughts! Dclemens1971 (talk) 23:21, 22 September 2024 (UTC)
