Regarding {{Querylink|Alois Kottmann Award|qs=&diff=next&oldid=387852323|your edit}} at the article Alois Kottmann Award: please note that flag icons are generally discouraged at the English Wikipedia; see MOS:FLAG. It seems to me that the recipients of the Alois Kottmann Award do not represent their country in the way an Olympic athlete does, and so the flags contribute to clutter and undue weight in the table. In fact, my personal preference would be to omit the three country columns altogether and simply append the country to the artist's name, e.g.:

Also: the correct syntax for a line break in HTML is

is wrong. (The Wikipedia software corrects the last two forms when it generates the HTML output.) Lastly, I don't understand why the year numbers should be in boldface; MOS:BOLD restricts boldface to very few uses.

: The participants do represent their country like an Olympic athlete does. That's why the award ceremony is held with an official protocol of the city of Frankfurt which you could have seen easily on the pictures of the ceremony which are referred to. I am officially invited to the next ceremony on Oct 30 by the mayor of Frankfurt and will try to get documentary pictures if the official protocol allows. Meanwhile the whole unsatisfactory matter is solved through the deletion of the tablet. If it's a common position of English Wikipedia that sports athletes are more important than classical music talents it won't be necessary to give cultural events and international artists any stage. ::::You misunderstood my sentiments. I'm very much in favour of promoting and supporting young artists, but I also think it should be done within Wikipedia guidelines, including WP:ICONDECORATION. I believe the German Wikipedia has a similar attitude to Klickibunti and Eye Candy. That's why I suggested the table in the format above. Your removal of the table seems impulsive and WP:POINTy.

::::I didn't write or imply that sports people are more important than classical music talents; I believe the opposite. I suggest you try to take constructive suggestions with a more open mind. What I wrote was that in Olympic games and similar sporting events, a great deal of importance is placed on the country for which an athlete competes – "representing their country", medal tallies, national anthems. I didn't get the impression that the Kottman Award is conducted that way.

Sure, why not. It seems that there are enough references, and they don't really need to be in Spanish for notability sake.

However, I would also suggest you to look also for a translator for Korean. After all, many of the recipients of the award are from South Korea, so it's likely that the award is better known in that country. Sabbut (talk) 07:27, 2 October 2010 (UTC)

I noticed that User:Kurosuke88 has attempted to improve the English text; let me make these suggestions:

• Use "prize money" instead of "rewards" (Dotierung in German).
• Rephrase
  "The reward of the award is 3,000 Euro. In addition to it, a silver medal of the award and certificates will be submitted." (which is not quite what the German article says) to
  "The award consists of 3,000 euro, a silver mdeal and a certificate."
• Use "Special prize" instead of "Special premium".

There are several other smaller language issues which can be addressed once the above matters, which are more obvious, have been improved. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 04:45, 4 October 2010 (UTC)
