File:Information orange.svg Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at :Kit Connor. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. As I mentioned, please address your concern and get consensus in the talk page. Aviator006 (talk) 19:36, 18 May 2022 (UTC)

25px Do not WP:EDIT WAR, as you did with your recent edit to :Arthur Sullivan. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. -- Ssilvers (talk) 03:31, 27 May 2022 (UTC)

Birth dates in short descriptions

Please don't add birth dates. Per WP:SHORTDESC, it should be "very brief". Birth date is excessive and not commonly included. Thanks. Sundayclose (talk) 23:28, 8 November 2022 (UTC)

Minor edit

Please do not refer to an edit as a "minor edit" in an edit summary if it is not a minor edit. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. As just one example, [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Luke_Pasqualino&diff=prev&oldid=1122263336 this] is not a minor edit. If in doubt, don't say it's minor edit. See Help:Minor edit for more information. Sundayclose (talk) 03:00, 18 November 2022 (UTC)

File:Information orange.svg Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to :Danny Masterson. Your edits could be interpreted as vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use your sandbox. There is nothing in the article to claim that Masterson has retired from acting. Until there is, he should not be described as a former actor. :Why are you making such a big deal about this? I’m sorry I feel like I did nothing wrong. I feel like I did something right with my edit. Please let me edit that. You do not have the right to boss me around you are not on charge of this of what I do. I disagree highly with your edit. She retired that makes more sense don’t you think. Lou Costello Producer

By that standard, "actor" should be deleted, too, since he only "straight acted" in one TV show. He produced two films, and arguably gave his credit in producing the team's TV series to his brother.Plummer (talk) 14:44, 19 March 2023 (UTC)

Changes

Hi, why the mass changes from "known professionally as" to "known by his/her stage name" - FMSky (talk) 13:29, 1 April 2025 (UTC)

:That is your opinion. I am allowed to feel like what is right is right. I feel like in my opinion it’s a much better way to say it. Worry about other people. I have a life outside of Wikipedia. Do you? Beatlemania2002 (talk) 19:44, 1 April 2025 (UTC)

::Wikipedia is a minor thing of mine. It seems like you have nothing to do with your outside life. Beatlemania2002 (talk) 19:45, 1 April 2025 (UTC)

:::I work, I go to school, and way much more things beside this. Beatlemania2002 (talk) 19:46, 1 April 2025 (UTC)

::::I'm currently also at work. I dont see how this has any relevance. Why the mass changes from "known professionally as" to "known by his/her stage name"? --FMSky (talk) 19:47, 1 April 2025 (UTC)

:::::It’s none of your fucking business. How about get a life outside of Wikipedia huh? It seems like all you care about is Wikipedia. Beatlemania2002 (talk) 19:50, 1 April 2025 (UTC)

::::::I made these changes because I found the alternative phrasing more reader friendly and conversational. It wasn’t meant to cause disruption, and I’m open to discussion, but I don’t appreciate being questioned like I have to justify every minor stylistic edit I make. Wikipedia is built on collaboration, not control. Beatlemania2002 (talk) 20:23, 1 April 2025 (UTC)

:::::::👍 --FMSky (talk) 20:24, 1 April 2025 (UTC)

Wordiness and "friendliness"

More words are not better. Stating in the lede that Lincoln was a politician and abolitionist (the second part isn't entirely true) and then getting around to mentioning that he was President amounts to burying the lede. Please stop adding unnecessary verbosity. Acroterion (talk) 23:45, 21 April 2025 (UTC)

:Hello Acroterion,

:I just wanted to say that your message came across pretty rude. I understand you disagree with my edit, but I respect that we may have different perspectives on style or formatting. But the way it was phrased- saying things like “more words are not better” and calling it “unnecessary verbosity” felt dismissive and unnecessarily harsh.

:I’m here to contribute in good faith and improve articles where I can. I would have appreciated a more constructive tone, especially since I was trying to add helpful context. A collaborative environment is a lot more effective when we treat each other with respect.

:Thank you,
