speedy deletion of article

[[:Independent candidates, 2008 Canadian federal election]]

Image:Ambox warning pn.svg

A tag has been placed on :Independent candidates, 2008 Canadian federal election, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing no content to the reader. Please note that external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article don't count as content. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{tl|hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Re:File:Polls Nov08-Jan10.png

Hi Bob Traver. Sorry to hear you're finding the media policies and guidelines confusing. Bascially, all you have to do is copy and paste the following text

{{Information

|Description =

|Source = I (~~~) created this work entirely by myself.

|Date = ~~~~~

|Author = ~~~

|other_versions =

}}

on the [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=File:Polls_Nov08-Jan10.png&action=edit file's desctiption page]. Fill out the parameter labeled "Description" with a detailed description of what the file is. At this point, you won't need to worry about the "Other_versions" parameter, so leave it blank for now. Once you have done that, go to WP:ICTIC and from the list provided, decide how you will copyright your file. Once you have done that, copy and paste the relevant license tag (The text in brackets - e.g. {{tnull|pd-self}} is a tag) onto the page :File:Polls Nov08-Jan10.png. And that's all there is to it. Hope that helps to clarify things. Regards, FASTILY (TALK) 01:24, 4 February 2010 (UTC)

Opinion polling in the 41st Canadian federal election

Hello Bob. Your graph of the Canadian Fed. Election polls is very useful, but there have been many more polls since May. I have tried to recreate your graph with Excel in order to include these new data points, but to no avail. Could you update your file?

Thanks, 67.193.134.4 (talk) 13:31, 5 September 2010 (UTC)

New 10,000 Challenge for Canada

Hi, Wikipedia:WikiProject Canada/The 10,000 Challenge is up and running based on Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge for the UK which has currently produced over 2300 article improvements and creations. If you'd like to see large scale quality improvements happening for Canada like The Africa Destubathon, which has produced over 1600 articles in 5 weeks, sign up on the page. The idea will be an ongoing national editathon/challenge for Canada but fuelled by a contest such as The North America Destubathon to really get articles on every province and subject mass improved. I would like some support from Canadian wikipedians here to get the Challenge off to a start with some articles to make doing a Destubathon worthwhile! Cheers. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:55, 22 November 2016 (UTC)
