Speedy deletion nomination of Hadu tribe
Hello Borgenland,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Hadu tribe for deletion, because it's a redirect from an article title to a namespace that's not for articles.
If you don't want Hadu tribe to be deleted, you can [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title={{urlencode:Talk:Hadu tribe}}&action=edit§ion=new&preload=Template:Hangon_preload&preloadtitle=This+page+should+not+be+speedy+deleted+because...+ contest this deletion], but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

:Hello! I would also have wanted to PROD it but wanted to leave space for AGF. In the first place I agree it should not have been allowed to enter articlespace at all, at least in the shoddy state I found it in. Borgenland (talk) 12:21, 25 February 2025 (UTC)
Edit warring
File:Information.svg Hi Borgenland! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of an article several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.
All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 00:03, 28 February 2025 (UTC)
:Hello, Borgenland,
:Don't get drawn into an edit war, even if you believe an account is a sock. Report the editor but you and other editors could have easily been blocked for the edit wars going on at several articles earlier today. No one wins here. Liz Read! Talk! 00:07, 28 February 2025 (UTC)
::Apologies. I was supposed to file an SPI but couldn’t find the exact archive. It was also 3AM here so decided to hold off until I could open my laptop. Also it was my understanding that a sock was supposed to get the WP:DENY treatment, and given sockmaster and sock’s prior WP:NPA and WP:ASPERSIONS behavior on Talk:2025 Prayag Maha Kumbh Mela I did not have confidence that they could be of good faith. Specifically citing [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=2025_Prayag_Maha_Kumbh_Mela&diff=prev&oldid=1277948405] [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk:2025_Prayag_Maha_Kumbh_Mela&diff=prev&oldid=1277950630] [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk:2025_Prayag_Maha_Kumbh_Mela&diff=prev&oldid=1277949720] and [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk:2025_Prayag_Maha_Kumbh_Mela&diff=prev&oldid=1277948073]. I thanked you for this edit, but ...
... what does "[https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Midnight_Sun_Mosque&curid=69530816&diff=1278763259&oldid=1266401483 fictitious names]" mean in the context of this edit? Daniel Case (talk) 18:33, 4 March 2025 (UTC)
:It's a general summary I make for names that are clearly not suited for parameters mentioned (last/author/title, etc.) I find it more direct to the point than stating it is generic. Borgenland (talk) 01:12, 5 March 2025 (UTC)

Since you helped write the South Korean impeachment articles
In case you're interested, [https://www.chosun.com/english/national-en/2025/03/20/C7ACX35MXFF6RGDGZ2VWHH3C7U/ they're trying to impeach the acting-acting president now]. I would start a draft:Efforts to impeach Choi Sang-mok, but it is the middle of the night here, and I've already created the two other impeachment articles so I don't want to be greedy 😛. No worries if you don't want to write this; I'll create it in the morning if no one else does. charlotte 👸♥ 07:22, 20 March 2025 (UTC)
:I think I will start on mainspace when actual proceedings to start the motion in the NA begin. But I'll set the talk page projects right now. Borgenland (talk) 07:24, 20 March 2025 (UTC)
:Just made a base paragraph. Borgenland (talk) 08:29, 21 March 2025 (UTC)

Confusion of WP:NOTNEWS
I really find it hard to determine what counts as news or not under the guidelines, and I'm not really sure what examples are, and lots of my events I add to country timelines are removed. Would appreciate help Daniel Mizen (talk) 07:14, 25 March 2025 (UTC)
:Oh yes, I should have continued where I left last week. Take 2025 in Nigeria for example. I removed [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=2025_in_Nigeria&diff=prev&oldid=1282114559] because presidents attend other presidents' inaugurations all the time, while this [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=2025_in_Nigeria&diff=prev&oldid=1282114481] was removed because it consisted of nothing but soundbites. Borgenland (talk) 07:58, 25 March 2025 (UTC)
::This one [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=2025_in_Ukraine&diff=prev&oldid=1282155082] got removed because it has become a WP:ROUTINE event in an active conflict zone, but is suitable for inclusion in Timeline of the Russian invasion of Ukraine (1 January 2025 – present). In this edit [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=2025_in_Lebanon&diff=prev&oldid=1282222538] you inserted too many references than necessary. See WP:OVERCITE. Borgenland (talk) 08:00, 25 March 2025 (UTC)
::okay, so what I'm gathering for nation timelines is that standard events that are normal and not majorly significant should not be included, and I'm also gathering that UN-related statements are generally not considered to be an event.
::And with regards to routine events such as wars, I should rather find a timeline article for the specified topic.
::And then for timelines themselves, only one citation is really necessary per bulletpoint?
::Many thanks Daniel Mizen (talk) 08:06, 25 March 2025 (UTC)
:::Generally anything above 3 is clutter, and we only include additional cites if there are details that are not in the first ref. As for wars, we usually hold off until it is of a strategic nature, preferably battlefield changes and major operations. As for disasters, they can be dynamic. Some WikiProjects don't include traffic collisions if they are routine, except in extreme circumstances. Borgenland (talk) 08:10, 25 March 2025 (UTC)
::::Okay thanks, I will try take this all into account, feel free to notify me if I continue to make mistakes Daniel Mizen (talk) 08:42, 25 March 2025 (UTC)
:::::No prob, just look at my edit summaries there. Borgenland (talk) 08:47, 25 March 2025 (UTC)
Invitation for Editing Current Event Article
Hey, I just want to invite you to editing for the 2025 Balochistan protests if you're interested since I don't really want to be the sole major editor. Since the protests had recently spread to Sindh, would a rename be feasible, and what to since there is another series of protests in Sindh in reaction to canal projects? PrimalMustelid (talk) 22:15, 26 March 2025 (UTC)
:At this stage I think it’s not necessary yet, especially since the primary action appears to be in Balochistan. Borgenland (talk) 02:20, 27 March 2025 (UTC)

2025 Tibet earthquake
Hi. I'm not sure that the description of it being the deadliest stricly since the Jishinian earthquake is accurate either since it's only when factoring the official estimates and the lowest Tibetian estimates. Nagito Komaeda the Second (talk) 18:37, 31 March 2025 (UTC)
:I reverted it because the language sounded like it was unsure of itself. If you can rewrite it in a more encyclopedic manner I won’t mind. Borgenland (talk) 03:40, 1 April 2025 (UTC)
::Apologies for asking but could you show how should I write that? I thought that was fine enough already. Nagito Komaeda the Second (talk) 16:08, 1 April 2025 (UTC)
:::having the word deadliest followed by depending on the number of fatalities is redundant and having two entries to choose from makes it appear as if you are still unsure which info is correct. Borgenland (talk) 16:20, 1 April 2025 (UTC)
::::Maybe adding "at least" before the Jishinian earthquake would be sufficient. Since the number of fatalities differs, saying it is definitely the deadliest since the Ludian earthquake would also be unfitting. Nagito Komaeda the Second (talk) 17:24, 1 April 2025 (UTC)
IP disruption
Hi Borgenland. The IP editor you reverted [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Mario_Joseph&diff=prev&oldid=1283540720 here at Mario Joseph] has been editing disruptively for a while now. I reported them a few days ago at AN/I but I'm having trouble getting through: [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Administrators%27_noticeboard/Incidents#c-Robby.is.on-20250328024300-IP_breaking_links,_introducing_trailing_spaces_despite_warnings]. ::Not yet. Robby.is.on (talk) 11:22, 2 April 2025 (UTC)
:::Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism is more appropriate. Though of course, you can bring it up again at ANI if no action is taken. Borgenland (talk) 11:25, 2 April 2025 (UTC)
