25px Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion{{#if:|, such as on {{{1}}}}}, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button Image:Signature_icon.png located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. {{#if:|{{{2}}}|Thank you.}} --SineBot (talk) 22:16, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
Wikipedia as a source
Didn't anyone ever teach you that wikipedia is never a suitable source? Not on wikipedia, not anywhere else. Dicklyon (talk) 04:02, 26 August 2009 (UTC)
Also, links from main (article) space into WP space, user space, etc. are not OK. And the bit on qtpfsgui had no support at all, just looking like alphabet soup; a source or a wikilink would make it OK, perhaps. Dicklyon (talk) 04:42, 26 August 2009 (UTC)
YYYY-MM-DD numerical date format in footnotes
Hello, I think you commented on this issue earlier, and you may like to know that there is now an RfC under way on this question, at Wikipedia:Mosnum/proposal_on_YYYY-MM-DD_numerical_dates. -- Alarics (talk) 21:44, 2 October 2009 (UTC)
[[Financial crisis of 2007–2010]]
moved Talk:Financial crisis of 2007–2010 to Talk:Financial crisis beginning 2007: Incorrect implication that the crises has ended.)
:There is no such implication. This is the way we name articles on Wikipedia. The irony, is that your move implied that the crises has not ended. The current name, Financial crisis of 2007–2010, simply uses the current date. Since 2010 has not ended, there is no implication. Please use the talk page to discuss this, as the article title you chose, Financial crisis beginning 2007, is not standard or recommended. Viriditas (talk) 21:56, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:AMD Radeon logo.png
Image:Ambox warning blue.svg Thanks for uploading :File:AMD Radeon logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude2 (talk) 06:02, 28 February 2011 (UTC)
