Proposed deletion of Ideario Tradicionalista

Image:Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Ideario Tradicionalista has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

:This is not, as just the translated reprint of a document, a suitable W{ article.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the proposed deletion/dated notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing proposed deletion/dated will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ¡Hola! Names in Catalan or Basque

Hello, my friend. I left a coment on the talk page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Maurici_de_Sivatte_i_de_Bobadilla

Why do you think it's more appropriate to write in an English article person names in Catalan, even if at that time they weren't so commonly used (except for perhaps in an exclusively Catalan context)?

I'm also a quite contrary to using spellings of place names that didn't even exist (not even in Basque) prior to the 1970s, like "Santurtzi" or "Gipuzkoa". In general, for both Catalan and Basque places, I think it would be more appropriate to use the spelling that was most commonly used at that time by foreigners, which was the Spanish spelling. What do you think?--Raderich (talk) 23:14, 9 August 2015 (UTC)

Intervention in Victor Pradera

File:Stop hand nuvola.svg Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you get reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. WikiProject assessment tags for talk pages

Thank you for your recent articles, including Mellismo, which I read with interest. When you create a new article, can you add the WikiProject assessment templates to the talk of that article? See the talk page of the article I mentioned for an example of what I mean. Usually it is very simple, you just add something like WikiProject Keyword to the article's talk, with keyword replaced by the associated WikiProject (ex. if it's a biography article, you would use WikiProject Biography; if it's a United States article, you would use WikiProject United States, and so on). You do not have to rate the article if you do not want to, others will do it eventually. Those templates are very useful, as they bring the articles to a WikiProject attention, and allow them to start tracking the articles through Wikipedia:Article alerts and other tools. For example, WikiProject Poland relies on such templates to generate listings such as Article Alerts, Popular Pages, Quality and Importance Matrix and the Cleanup Listing. Thanks to them, WikiProject members are more easily able to defend your work from deletion, or simply help try to improve it further. Feel free to ask me any questions if you'd like more information about using those talk page templates. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 07:05, 3 November 2015 (UTC)

ArbCom elections are now open!

Hi,

You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Edit-warring in Manuel Fal Conde

File:Ambox warning pn.svg You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on :Article. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

 1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
 2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Iñaki LL (talk) 19:51, 23 April 2016 (UTC)

Copy-paste move

File:Information.svg Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give :User:Dd1495/sandbox a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into :Cesáreo Sanz Escartín. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Dalmacio

Hello,

I am from Spain, and Dalmacio Iglesias García and I are relatives. I am trying to find some information about him, but there is not a lot I can find, apart from the Wikipedia article you contributed to. Can you help me find some information about him? Is there any sources you know where I can find information?

Thanks in advance. Wittyduck (talk) 15:58, 31 January 2019 (UTC)

Hi

Please read WP:COMMONNAME. "Manuel Senante" is the most common name in sources (Spanish- and, I suppose, also English-language ones). In addition to being WP:CONCISE (regarding the artificial addition of mother's surnames you can also read WP:MAIDEN), that title also happens to be WP:PRECISE enough to identify the subject within the current set of English Wikipedia articles.--Asqueladd (talk) 15:18, 9 February 2023 (UTC)
