[[Ainu language]]
Hey Dekimasu--I was about to revert [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Ainu_language&diff=prev&oldid=1271955706 this unexplained edit], but then Google Translate suggested that the IP might have reverted vandalism. I'd appreciate it if you could have a look. Thanks, Drmies (talk) 17:20, 11 February 2025 (UTC)
:Hello. Sorry, I am not Dekimasu. But that edit by IP user is rather right. The book in question is [https://www.kosho.or.jp/products/detail.php?product_id=537995560 This]. The title is "{{lang|ja|あいぬ物語 附あいぬ語大意及語彙}}". So, do not revert it. - Flora fon Esth (talk) 17:48, 11 February 2025 (UTC)
::Thanks--so there was an earlier vandal? I looked briefly but didn't find it. Drmies (talk) 18:02, 11 February 2025 (UTC)
:::Hi Drmies, the other version was a partially-correct attempt to give the phonetic reading of the title, so it wasn't vandalism. However, the current version is more accurate, so no reversion is needed here. I've probably never gone through that article in enough detail to check on whether there are any similar problems. And in general I am in favor of avoiding pop culture references in these sorts of articles, but the widespread use of Ainu language in Golden Kamuy is probably noteworthy because the manga has played a significant role in language revitalization. I think there are sources out there (e.g. the second page [https://www.japantimes.co.jp/uploads/imported_images/uploads/2022/02/20220221p06-07.pdf here] in English, or the book with the cover shown on the second page), so it may be worth readding that reference in some form as well. Best, Dekimasuよ! 03:11, 12 February 2025 (UTC)
::::Hey, I'd never remove material like that if it had secondary sources. Take care, Drmies (talk) 13:17, 12 February 2025 (UTC)

Hello Dekimasu! What can I do to get back my full rights, is there any way? – 𝙰𝚔𝚜𝚑𝚊𝚍𝚎𝚟™ 🗿 11:45, 16 March 2025 (UTC)
:Akshadev, as I wrote in the message on the move request at Talk:Salt Lake Stadium, the options are to appeal to the unblocking administrator (User:Bradv, who is only semi-active now and may not respond), or to appeal more generally at the Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard. Dekimasuよ! 05:28, 22 March 2025 (UTC)
::Is there any guidance available about what to write at Administrators noticeboard? – 𝙰𝚔𝚜𝚑𝚊𝚍𝚎𝚟™ 🗿 05:53, 22 March 2025 (UTC)
::Or can you guide me? It would be more helpful if you'll guide me. – 𝙰𝚔𝚜𝚑𝚊𝚍𝚎𝚟™ 🗿 05:54, 22 March 2025 (UTC)
:::The procedure is similar to the unblock request process: the need is to convince the reviewers that the restrictions are no longer required because they are not preventing damage or disruption, and thus that it would be more productive for you to be able to edit in the area in question. However, I don't think it would be a good idea to make an appeal now, since arguably you recently violated the restrictions at Talk:Salt Lake Stadium and Talk:V. Narayanan (engineer) and you have continued to make technical move requests (which, if objected to, are usually turned into standard move discussions). Part of the reason for proposing the restriction was the past history with sockpuppet accounts. Reinstating the ability to make move requests would lead to the same set of conditions that resulted in your decisions to use those other accounts. Dekimasuよ! 06:07, 22 March 2025 (UTC)
::::I will not violate the restrictions anymore and I will apply for the full rights some time later (per your suggestion). Thanks for your time, really appreciate it. Happy editing! – 𝙰𝚔𝚜𝚑𝚊𝚍𝚎𝚟™ 🗿 13:28, 22 March 2025 (UTC)
[[Wikipedia:The World Destubathon|The World Destubathon]]
Hello. You're invited to participate in The World Destubathon. We're aiming to destub a lot of articles and also improve longer stale articles. It will be held from Monday June 16 - Sunday July 13. There is over $3300 going into it, with $500 the top prize. If you are interested in winning something to save you money in buying books for future content, or just see it as a good editathon opportunity to see a lot of articles improved for subjects which interest you, sign up on the page in the participants section if interested. Even if you can only manage a few articles they would be very much appreciated and help towards making the content produced as diverse and broad as possible!♦ Dr. Blofeld 13:02, 15 June 2025 (UTC)
Regarding my edits that were undid
I saw that you undid my edits on the articles Japanese people and Japanese diaspora, and you said this: "unable to be maintained meaningfully at this level: contains uncited numbers, numbers that are over 15 years old, and at least one cited not to a dead link but directly to a 404 page", I'm a bit confused on what you said on this, can you clarify more? I got these numbers from the article Japantown, because I felt like they had more information just like on other infoboxes that regarded diaspora populations.
