Hello, Diaakh93, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as :Draft:Fares “Freddy” Zeideia, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's content policies and may not be retained. A tag has been placed on :Draft:Fares “Freddy” Zeideia, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the {{Querylink|Special:Log|qs=type=delete&page=Draft%3AFares+%E2%80%9CFreddy%E2%80%9D+Zeideia|deleting administrator}}. Welcome!

Hello, Diaakh93, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

:I don’t understand why this is happening. A quick google search will showcase that the record i am writing regarding Fares is something well known within the community and multiple reputable sources including the New York Times and others? Diaakh93 (talk) 17:46, 18 March 2025 (UTC)

::I'm also noticing a lot of the stuff i put into the article has been deleted and it seems quite outlandish. :) help in understanding why this is the case would be great. Diaakh93 (talk) 17:48, 18 March 2025 (UTC)

:::Sorry, didn't see this - I put some explanations on the article's talk page. Long story short, it was not written in a neutral, encyclopedic fashion. This is actually a very common issue people run into when they first start editing on Wikipedia. What would be seen as neutral elsewhere can be seen as promotional on Wikipedia.

:::For example, there are a lot of marketing buzzwords and phrases that are routine elsewhere, but are promotional on here like "remains committed to". With businesses it's generally assumed that someone would be committed to their work - it's how they became successful and gained coverage, so there's no need to highlight it. Calling something popular is another thing that is seen as a given - it's assumed that something will be popular if it's getting covered in reliable sources. Besides that, popularity is kind of subjective so it's also kind of an inaccurate term because what's popular to one isn't to another.

:::Another issue would be that you used the nickname "Falafel King of Astoria". As far as I could see, only one reliable source used that nickname, so it's not really accurate to say that it's a common nickname. Given that the nickname is obviously a favorable one, this can also come across as non-neutral.

:::Other than that, it's really important to write as neutrally as possible because if something seems to be too promotional, it can get nominated for deletion - as was the case with the original version of the draft. Sometimes they can be fixed, but not everyone is going to want to assist, unfortunately. I had some links on the talk page - [https://dashboard.wikiedu.org/training/students these training modules] will help give an overview of Wikipedia's editing practices, while [https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Wiki_Education_Foundation_subject-specific_handouts these handouts] go over some topic areas and the requirements for those as far as sourcing and so on goes.
