Hi Drmies,

I am sorry if this is the wrong place to write you... I just noticed that this user was banned multiple times and now indefinitely.

Just to be clear, I am not asking a favour for him, quite the opposite.

He has removed an addition of mine, in May 2020, merely an hour after my last edit.

I realize, this might not be the best writing, it should probably be adjusted,... but E13 is the oldest revision we can still find reference for on the internet. The original author is not interested by the past, or its history. I love looking back at where things are from, and I talked with him personally, also with multiple of his contributors, trying to find anything older... and the only thing I found was buried in an archive CDROM...

I am still sad this edit could not be improved upon instead of simply being discarded without much of a review, given this user is now banned and my edit was up a single hour. We fought a little bit on the Talk page, but I eventually gave up.

Thank you for your understanding, I appreciate if I could get another unbias opinion.

So I have had an intermittent email friendship going on with a certain vandal who frequently shouts you out since the end of their spring 2024 vandalism streak--actually on your suggestion since you had previously said it was disruptive for me to be chatting with them on-Wiki. I do not feel comfortable disclosing what we have talked about since I want to respect their privacy, all I will say is that our conversations are very much non-Wikipedia based. You recently reverted edits of mine on Carus' Campaigns after I identified significant issues with the article and proceeded to rectify said issues. Could you explain why? The changes I made were basic - any one who has read the sources provided would immediately be aware that the claims within the article are not supported by said sources whatsoever. This degree of misinformation is a noticeable trend in a worrying number of articles concerning Rome/Persia conflicts, and appear to be informed by the biases (and amateurism) of just a small number of editors. Thanks for your edits on Saskatchewan Highway 5. I found most of the lower numbered SK highways are in the same disastrous boat. I've been slowly working my way down the list. • Thanks for the note--I appreciate that. I picked that one more or less at random after seeing what happened at the 331 article I edited, and I have no doubt that those edits were habitually made by an editor until that editor was told off a bit--and then huffed and puffed about it. So yes, no doubt there is a lot of cleanup and their talk page suggested that the list of GAs was being looked at as well. • :I have not participated in any of the GA reviews for SK highways, but if I had, I would've voted in favour of delisting. I have not discussed with any editor GA reviews or any of the rewrites and culls that i've done to sk highway articles. I guess either no one noticed or cared. But many of the sk highway articles are in dire need of work. As for this editor you mentioned who huffed and puffed, I'm not sure who you are talking about. The irrelevant fluff you removed from sk hwy 5 and most of the same type of fluff i've been removing from sk hwy pages was added about 15 years ago and came from an editor who no longer appears active. Rewriting the terrible hwy articles is a tiresome and thankless job but it needs to be done (and I don't mind doing it). I started out by just working around the edges trying to clean them up a bit and that was ok for some articles. But others were so bad, complete rewrites were needed.
