While Wikipedia welcomes editors' opinions on an article and how it could be changed, these comments are more appropriate for the article's accompanying talk page. If you post your comments there, other editors working on the same article will notice and respond to them and your comments will not disrupt the flow of the article. However, keep in mind that even on the talk page of an article, you should limit your discussion to improving the article. Those images were already copyrighted under the relevant laws. You did not get a release allowing others to use, re-use, modify, etc. these images; which is the only kind of release that would permit their use under our licensing agreement. We cannot accept any restrictions such as "only for use on Wikipedia"; "not for reprinting or re-use"; "only for use on certain articles"; "do not modify"; and so on. --Orange Mike | Talk 22:09, 17 November 2009 (UTC)

:My understanding is that the permission given was not sweeping enough. Because images are subject to much more draconian and specific laws, we must be equally rigid in the restrictions placed on their use. Wikipedia's purpose is not the dissemination of images, but rather the spread of knowledge; so the restrictions on images do not interfere gravely with our primary function. --Orange Mike | Talk 22:26, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
