    Anna Benson

I understand the quandary you find yourself in regarding the sourcing of information from the Anna Benson entry, inasmuch as you're trying to find a way to include information for which your own familiarity with Benson might serve as the source. The quick answer is that Wikipedia accepts only secondary sources (or published primary sources) as references for its entries. In other words, if Anna Benson jogs past you one morning as you go to work you can't write on her Wikipedia entry, "Anna Benson is a jogger," even though you actually witnessed her doing it. Instead, you have to wait for a reporter to mention it in a newspaper article, her husband to reference it in a filing for divorce, or Ms. Benson herself to speak of it during an interview. A way to include the identity of the man you wrote of as the father for her first child, for example, might be to search public databases for an order of child support or to find an old interview in which Benson mentions him by name. If, however, none of the information to which you're privy has yet managed to make its way into the public eye then it cannot be properly referenced in the article at this time. Otherwise, the article can become a mish-mash of competing rumors ("Well, my brother dated her, and he said...") and unsubstantiated versions of the facts. Do you know of any way you can support your previous edits? ThtrWrtr (talk) 11:49, 23 February 2011 (UTC)
