To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. It's perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}} on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.

Always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the File:OOUI JS signature icon LTR.png button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes ~~~~ at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to your talk page, and a timestamp.
Leave descriptive edit summaries for your edits. Doing so helps other editors understand what changes you have made and why you made them.

:You should really work on articles in Draft space or User space like your Sandbox until you received a review and approval from a AFC reviewer. If they don't approve your draft, it will likely be deleted if you move it to main space prematurely. They are trying to prevent deletion of your drafts by telling you what needs to be fixed. All they do is evaluate draft articles all day and they know what it takes for a new article to survive in main space so it is not wise to ignore their advice.
