Becoming Wikifriends

Hello there @Frap!. I saw your recent contributions to the first article I created MakeCode, and I wanna say thank you! Also, I found out that you and I are basically interested in the same subject, technology and computing. Would you mind becoming a wikifriend with me? Vinizex94 (talk) 12:10, 1 May 2025 (UTC)

:Sure! Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for creating articles and improving Wikipedia! I noticed that one of the GitHub link points a 404 though. -- Frap (talk) 12:17, 1 May 2025 (UTC)

::Thanks for the warm welcome, User:Frap. Glad to connect with a fellow tech enthusiast here. 🙌

::Ah—got it now. When you mentioned the GitHub link returning a 404, you meant it's pointing to a non-existent or broken page. I’ll take a look and fix it or replace it with a working link if I can find one. Appreciate you catching that!

::And yes, I’d be happy to be wikifriends—always great to build with others who love tech and computing too. See you around the namespace! Vinizex94 (talk) 12:56, 6 May 2025 (UTC)

A cup of tea for you!

Revoking your [[WP:Autopatrolled|autopatrolled]] user-right

Hey, I've been looking at a few of your recent articles, and creations like Aurora Store, RISC-V ecosystem, Ed Calderon and Cockpit (software) do not meet the high bar for the autopatrolled userright. I can understand that you are creating these articles in good faith, and want to increase Wikipedia's coverage of FOSS software, but the current expectations from article creators who have the auto-patrolled user-right are that their articles have enough reliable references to clearly demonstrate that they are notable. None of the articles I linked do that. As a result, I'm revoking your autopatrolled userright so that the articles that you create get atleast a once-over by another member of the new page patrol folks (who can then identify issues and apply tags that you can fix). {{small|(also cc @HJ Mitchell who originally granted you the userright back in 2011)}} Sohom (talk) 03:10, 26 June 2025 (UTC)
