I have deleted the above article under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Per your note that you want to work on it, I have placed the text in a subpage as suggested by WWGB. Frankly, this does not have the appearance of an article that will ever be able to meet our policy requirements but it's best that you know them so you are not surprised later if the article is deleted even after you have taken it to the next level.

First, for a subject to appear in this encyclopedia, the subject must be notable. We define that word for encyclopedia purposes as receiving significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject (we also have a subject specific notability guideline for people). Likewise, every fact in an article should be verified. In order to meet these requirements, the article should cite to reliable sources in its text.

We also strongly discourage people from writing about subjects they are close to such as themsleves, family memebers and friends as this presents a conflict of interest, and renders it well nigh impossible for the article to be written from a neutral point of view, which all articles must be. All this is to say that by all means, work on the article befoire going live again, but please understand that this is an encylcopedia, and not just a social site where you can post bios of family members. I came across a number of articles you took to afd for deletion while doing new pages patrol and I was wondering if you were familiar with the Proposed deletion process. Basically, you add {{subst:prod|reason for deletion}} to articles the deletion of which is not controversial, such as blatant advertizing, etc. Thereafter, if the prod template remains in the article for five days it is deleted without any debate. Hi NAME. I noticed the great work you are doing tagging new articles—not something newcomers do often. We need all the help we can get (our floodgates are leaking badly). So welcome and keep up the good work. By the way, it's a good practice to leave edit summaries. You can just copy and paste the tags you are using into the edit summary field.

Also note that it is often appropriate to leave a message on a creating user's talk page when tagging. For instance, for articles tagged as db-bio/db-band/db-group, {{tl|nn-warn}} or {{tl|vanity}} are useful (all of these templates, unlike the db deletion templates, should be substituted and have parameters for the name of the article being referred to in the warning, so you would format them like so: {{subst:nn-warn|name of article}}--~~~~). For clear nonsense, attacks, hoaxes, mild vandalism you can use {{tl|test1article-n}}, (which succeeds to {{tl|test2article-n}} and so on).

For articles that you have prodded (done by placing the {{tl|prod}}, template like this {{subst:prod|your rationale for why the article should be deleted}}; a very useful template for newpages patrol), you can add to the author's talk page {{tl|prodwarning}}. You can explore various templates at Wikipedia:Template messages. I hope this unsolicited advice is not unwelcome. I noticed some tagging you were doing at new pages patrol. We need help so thanks! Just wanted to drop you a message about one issue. When you tag an article for speedy deletion, it really needs to fall into a specific speedy deletion criteria, which are listed at WP:CSD. There are a pretty short list of speedy deletion tags that are used often which tell you in their text the criteria they are used under (you can memorize them pretty quickly because their names tell you the criteria).

Here's a list of pretty much all of them: {{tl|db-bio}}, {{tl|db-group}}, {{tl|db-web}}, {{tl|db-nonsense}}, {{tl|db-empty}}, {{tl|db-nocontext}}, {{tl|db-band}}, {{tl|db-club}}, {{tl|db-attack}}, {{tl|db-repost}}, {{tl|db-vandal}}, {{tl|db-spam}}, :Template:db-copyvio, {{tl|db-redirtypo}}, {{tl|db-redirnone}}, {{tl|db-blanked}} and {{tl|db-talk}}. The article, F to C (or reverse) easy mental conversion may be a candidate for a nonsense tag or maybe a nocontext tag, but being trivial and not in need of an article, as you tagged it (which I agree with you about), aren't bases for speedy deletion. If nothing fits, the typical thing to do is to use a {{tl|prod}} tag. If that is removed, or the deletion is controversial, the article can be listed at AFD. Cheers.

It does not refer to importance or fame or worth or whether we like the subject or not. It refers to whether the world at large has deemed a subject notable by making it the subject of multiple, non-trivial published works from sources that are reliable and independent of the subject itself. For more on notability, see Wikipedia:Notability. So my suggestion is that you attempt to find reliable sources which deal with this subject and cite them in the article. That is the best route to avoid deletion.
