:@Dear Mister Chipmunk I thank you for the warm welcome, and while it may be belated as my account is quite old. It came as a surprize to me that I had an account with a few small edits at all! So now is my first real foray into the world of Wikipedia, and it is appropriate to have cookies at this time. While I have seen several of the links your welcome includes, some I have not; of interest to me are the teahouse and help desk. Are these the primary methods of communicating among wikipedians? I have tuned into several libera-irc channels but there's not much action there. In particular, I'm looking to connect with some members of the Spoken Wikipedia project. Seems it might have gone defunct and been revived, so perhaps finding an active member might prove difficult. Any pointers in such a quest would be appreciated! ::Hello, welcome and happy trouting. The primary methods of communication would be through the central noticeboards and village pumps, but everything is quite decentralized. There is a Discord server (Wikipedia:Discord), which can provide a forum for informal communication if that is what you are looking for. Wikiprojects often go defunct, but there is nothing stopping you stepping in to revive it if that is your goal! I would suggest if you have any particular questions, you do ask them at the Teahouse, where multiple editors might see it. CMD (talk) 02:15, 25 November 2021 (UTC)
