File:Information.svgHi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to :Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:11, 22 July 2018 (UTC)

[[Draft:Hot Chicks|Hot Chicks]] moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Hot Chicks, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Orphaned non-free image File:Hot Chicks Movie Poster from Ebersole Hughes Company website.png

File:Ambox warning blue.svg Thanks for uploading :File:Hot Chicks Movie Poster from Ebersole Hughes Company website.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:10, 31 July 2018 (UTC)

Hello, JonathanTheLibrarian. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or draft page you started, Draft:Hot Chicks.

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. If you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it. — JJMC89(T·C) 06:33, 29 January 2019 (UTC)

Mississippi project?

I presume that I don't need to do anything to continue editing, reviewing, etc., on the project. Is that the case? Activist (talk) 13:05, 18 April 2019 (UTC)

{{reply to|Activist}} Not at all. I've gotten back on Wikipedia after a long break, and I'm doing suggestions on reviving the project after seeing it had gotten marked inactive a few years back.

:I'm glad to hear that you're back to editing on it and reviving the apparently moribund project. My major interests are fairly narrow, i.e.: Public corruption, prisons, non-profit media, politicians, anthropology, athletics, etc. I've created a few articles in those areas in Mississippi, edited others heavily, but I'm on equally torpid Wikiprojects for other states or issue areas. I just did some work on Alaska articles yesterday and asked for participation from other inactive editors, but don't expect any from the long list of project "members." I'll watch the Republican gubernatorial primary to see how that shapes up in MS. Activist (talk) 11:41, 23 April 2019 (UTC)

I've noticed

You do a lot of stuff that I wouldn't do if they paid me. I appreciate it, thanks for all your efforts! Jacona (talk) 01:01, 6 May 2019 (UTC)

Thanks! It's a good way to pass time when I have a down day. :) JonathanTheLibrarian (talk) 03:23, 6 May 2019 (UTC)

----

There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons.

In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate.

If you do not want to receive invitations to future US Banknote Contests, follow the instructions here
