File:Information.svg Hello, I'm Unit Mango. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to :Interracial marriage have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. You can't put quotation marks around the word interracial every time it appears in the page. the 🥭 man (the 🥭 talk) 19:12, 5 May 2025 (UTC)
File:Information orange.svg Please do not use styles that are nonstandard, unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in :Interracial marriage. There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. Thank you. EvergreenFir (talk) 20:05, 5 May 2025 (UTC)
:Thank you for the feedback. I have desisted. I will study the style guide if I ever decide that I want to return to Wikipedia. By not responding to the talk page for so many months, I should not have tried to circumvent the Wikipedia process, I apologize. Kanchan M Mahon (talk) 20:56, 5 May 2025 (UTC)

- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at :Interracial marriage, you may be blocked from editing. See also Edit warring and WP:3RR EvergreenFir (talk) 20:13, 5 May 2025 (UTC)
:I will not edit Wikipedia again, as it is not worth continuing to debate this nonsense with other editorial sources which have been dragging on for the last 8 months. I wrote what I was trying to do in the talk page, and I will not edit anything else because my original comments were ignored.
:So as I said, if Wikipedia is NOT going to improve itself in its objectively around race, I will not argue with anyone else about it.
:Just know that as a doctor and a person who these articles are about, Wikipedia has fallen far behind the encyclopedias of my day. When I was an undergrad, if I had showed these entries to any of the history or anthropology professors at my Ivy League college these entries, they would be shocked at how biased, how Eurocentric and how racist these (and other) articles on “interracial” marriage are. You have citations from medical professionals and other scientists saying quite clearly that race is a social construct not a scientific construct. Yet you continue to make all kinds of statements as if they are real social science information, when they are essentially racist constructs. Kanchan M Mahon (talk) 20:53, 5 May 2025 (UTC)
::You are correct that race is a social construct, but that does not mean race isn't real (cf. Thomas Theorem). Wikipedia goes by what reliable sources say about history and current issues. And those sources are certainly White and US-centric. Most of the work done on Sociology of Race has been in the USA. All that said, adding quotes around the word race doesn't do anything for the reader or the effort to explain that race isn't biological. EvergreenFir (talk) 23:07, 5 May 2025 (UTC)
