Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page :BMJ has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. I removed the following link(s): http://twitter.com/bmj_latest, http://twitter.com/bmj_latest (matching the regex rule \btwitter\.com\b). If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, or similar site, then please check the information on the external site thoroughly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creator's copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 15:46, 15 February 2010 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of :In Practice

Image:Ambox warning_pn.svg A tag has been placed on :In Practice, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding hangon to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 14:03, 23 February 2010 (UTC)

25px Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from :In Practice, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a hangon tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 14:32, 23 February 2010 (UTC)

Creating journal articles, file licensing

Hi, thanks for creating several academic journal articles. You can find some tips on writing such articles here, they may help you avoid speedy deletion as advertising and such. (BTW, as indicated above, if somebody tries to speedy one of your articles, you should not remove the speedy tag yourself. Instead, place hangon underneath the speedy tag and explain on the article's talk page why you think the article should not be deleted). As for licensing journal covers, see :File:G2Bcover.jpg for an example. I have used this file as a template for many covers that I have uploaded nad have never experienced any problems. Hope this helps. Happy editing! --Crusio (talk) 15:47, 23 February 2010 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:MiniFNcover.gif

Image:Ambox warning blue.svg Thanks for uploading :File:MiniFNcover.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. ╟─TreasuryTagCANUKUS─╢ 14:36, 21 May 2010 (UTC)

:Thorax (journal)

Image:Copyright-problem.svg

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of :Thorax (journal), and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://thorax.bmj.com. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.)

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 14:41, 27 May 2010 (UTC)

Conflict of interest

As "Laura Abbott" is listed as a BMJ marketing contact, and you only edit BMJ journal articles, I've asked the people on the conflict of interest noticeboard to review your contributions. I don't generally have a problem with them, but second opinions are Good Things. :-) --SarekOfVulcan (talk) 16:13, 4 June 2010 (UTC)

25px Welcome to Wikipedia. If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

 1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
 2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
 3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. MER-C 05:11, 5 June 2010 (UTC)
