I think the words "In potential theory,...." fall short of informing the lay reader that mathematics is what the article is about. Writing "In algebra,..." or "In geometry,..." or "In number theory,..." is enough, but probably most lay readers have not heard of potential theory.

• Hi Chinju. I thought the proof was circular, because I thought Pythagorean theorem was a consequence of Cauchy-Schwarz inequality. However, after carefully reading your proof [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Cauchy%E2%80%93Schwarz_inequality&oldid=421453190] again a couple of times, I realized I was wrong (about the proof being circular).
