Linking

Hi, please see WP:OVERLINK. Two points, we try to avoid linking in quotations, and I don't think many if any readers wouldn't know what nakedness" means. Thanks. Doug Weller talk 07:43, 25 April 2025 (UTC)

:Okay, will check that. Miamiller777 (talk) 16:21, 25 April 2025 (UTC)

About your new section

Greetings Miamiller777, I come to your talk page because of your recent edit in the article of White Mexicans[https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=White_Mexicans&diff=1287281109&oldid=1282713884], on which you created a new section called "Overview" and left only one paragraph in the the article introduction, I think you went overboard by making the introuction so small, however, I must stress that I think the introduction could be shorter and could be better written in general and I hope we can discuss these changes in the next days. One such changes is to move the fourth introduction paragraph which talks about genetics to the part of the article that already talks about genetics, What do you think of this? Pob3qu3 (talk) 23:34, 27 April 2025 (UTC)

:Hello , I did check that , Actually The lede was too long and was hard to read, thats why i thought of splitting it to a new section. The lede was talking about demographics , genetics , their distribution and many more which is not even really elaborated in the article . Do you think that we should add more information from the "overview" section to the lede ? Miamiller777 (talk) 00:23, 28 April 2025 (UTC)

::Miamiller777 actually, I think its likely uneccessary, specially if we move the second and third paragraphs back up and the fourth one to the genetics section, because after that the section is going to be empty, or the introduction can go back to its previous state with four paragraphps, which is not excessive to be fair. Pob3qu3 (talk) 02:39, 28 April 2025 (UTC)

::I would apprecite that you answered (I hope you are not very bussy or that this is an inconvenience for you), as there are other edits to the introduction text that are needed and I think this is a good oportunity to discuss them. Pob3qu3 (talk) 00:38, 2 May 2025 (UTC)

::Miamiller777 as I've previously said, I understand if you are bussy and have no time to discuss, so could you at least state something along the lines of you not being interested in the topic anymore so I go and make the corrections that are long due?. Pob3qu3 (talk) 22:39, 4 May 2025 (UTC)

:::Hi, sorry for the late reply , I think you can make the appropriate changes , If you feel that is right for the article. Miamiller777 (talk) 06:04, 5 May 2025 (UTC)

:::Much apprecited Miamiller777, already working on it. Pob3qu3 (talk) 09:05, 5 May 2025 (UTC)

May 2025

File:Information.svg Hi Miamiller777! I noticed that you recently made an edit and marked it as "minor", but it may not have been. "Minor edit" has a specific definition on Wikipedia: it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you. Belbury (talk) 14:59, 9 May 2025 (UTC)

:Hi, Today I mostly linked related topics and added very small contents and corrected typos. Can you please point out the article and the edit so that I can improve , I have noted this anyways, thanks for informing. Miamiller777 (talk) 15:26, 9 May 2025 (UTC)

::[https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Primolius&diff=prev&oldid=1289566388 This edit] would be one. It's not a big deal, and you're right that these are small edits, it's just often unclear to new users what Wikipedia means by "minor edit" so I thought I'd give you the explanation template. --Belbury (talk) 15:47, 9 May 2025 (UTC)

:well i just checked . I thought since candy making is added in the see also page, Baking would also fit there since the overall topic is related to that . Miamiller777 (talk) 15:29, 9 May 2025 (UTC)

::The confectionery store article is about stores that sell candy. Baking seems only indirectly related to that, to me. --Belbury (talk) 15:47, 9 May 2025 (UTC)

:::No problem , I have noted that anyways . Miamiller777 (talk) 15:48, 9 May 2025 (UTC)
