Journal reference

Hello Mpj7. Regarding [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Rain&curid=19009110&diff=831834250&oldid=831794052 this], would you please provide the article's title, the exact issue date (not just year), and volume and number? I'd like to convert that to a properly formatted citation, and I'd be happy to do that but after a quick search I'm not 100% about which article it is. RivertorchFIREWATER 14:44, 22 March 2018 (UTC)

:Hello Rivertorch and thank you for your attention to my contribution. I share your concern. The original article is in Spanish; [https://web.archive.org/web/20161113152357/http://www.dna.gov.ar/la-ant%C3%A1rtida here] and [http://www.dna.gov.ar/la-ant%C3%A1rtida here], and used before here in Precipitation section, cited as: [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Climate_of_Antarctica#cite_note-dnaclimate-13 here]. I hope this helps. The Journal of Climate article with the Journal homepage and Online access may help too. My concern was; for some ordinary readers, antarctic climate may be assumed wet, necessitating the point to be mentioned and of course properly cited.

:Since the same point has been addressed by other authors such as: [http://www.antarctica.gov.au/about-antarctica/environment/weather this] and [https://discoveringantarctica.org.uk/oceans-atmosphere-landscape/atmosphere-weather-and-climate/key-factors-behind-antarcticas-climate/ this] as well, if with this information a properly formatted citation still may not be achieved, then these citations can be used as further/or references. Thank you for kindly offering further help.-- Mpj7 (talk) 23:05, 23 March 2018 (UTC)

::Thanks, I'll take a look tomorrow. RivertorchFIREWATER 22:08, 24 March 2018 (UTC)

::It took me longer than I'd hoped to get back to it. The two archived Argentine government pages you linked above do not support the content as written: they appear to say the precipitation is mostly snow. I still don't see why the Journal of Climate reference is relevant; it's used at Climate of Antarctica but there isn't a full citation there either. Anyway, I have reverted back to the version before Freshclover's changes. RivertorchFIREWATER 17:04, 27 March 2018 (UTC)
