Some of this is finding sources about the subject (link to their PhD (if any) in the library of the awarding institution; their top handful of publications according to google scholar; independent support for various claims; etc). Some is presentational, see other members of :Category:New_Zealand_academics or my helper page at User:Stuartyeates/sandbox/academicbio if you need somewhere to start. Additionally peacock terms such as 'distinguished' need to be removed.
