Do not mark major edits as minor
File:Information.svg Hi Mylo pinto rizvi! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia — it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. —J. M. Page move
Hello, Mylo pinto rizvi,
Blender (software) is a 21-year-old article and it is not appropriate to move it to Draft space or Project space. Only recently created articles should be draftified. Please work on improving the article. If there are problems, you can start a discussion on the article talk page or place a tag on the article indicating issues that need to be addressed. If you believe there are substantial problems, you can nominate it for deletion at WP:AFD where you can present your argument for why the article is unsuitable for the project. Thank you. Liz Read! Wiki page edit for Miriam Cates' political affiliations
Hi Mylo Pinto Rizvi. In 2024-07 I noted on Talk:Miriam_Cates that the infobox mentioned "other political affiliations: Labour (1997)" but that the article didn't contain any citations which supported that fact. I see that there is a 2024 New Statesman article in which the sub-head says she was "once a labour party member", but even that New Statesman article doesn't say much more about her Labour party membership except that she "abandoned it later" and implying it was brief.
Your [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Miriam_Cates&oldid=1214220438 Revision as of 16:59, 17 March 2024] is (I think) where this 1997 claim was mentioned. I think this edit may be an error, or at least not relevant to the views of a (then) 15/16-year old school child who seems to have moved thereafter towards right-wing views. The New Statesman appears to put no weight on it, and is using it only as a factoid from an interview with her which adds "colour".
I think it would be appropriate to remove that edit. I'm not an experienced editor, and I have never edited a BLP, so I don't want to do the wrong thing if you did have a more relevant source for the statement. Do you think this would be appropriate? Type-O'Fixx (talk) 19:29, 26 June 2025 (UTC)
