You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours for persistently making disruptive edits. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you believe that there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  BusterD (talk) 20:53, 13 April 2025 (UTC)

:Am I allowed to write on my user talk? NotQualified (talk) 21:07, 13 April 2025 (UTC)

::You should refrain from anything but unblock requests. I chose to block you from the entire pedia because I don't believe we can trust you to stop bludgeoning. If I see you attempting to continue your disagreement here on your talk, I will extend your block period significantly, remove your talk page privileges, then feel vindicated in my initial instincts. You've already ignored my warnings once. Ignore this warning at your peril! BusterD (talk) 21:24, 13 April 2025 (UTC)

:::Can I ask for further clarifications on certain matters around the block, or no? NotQualified (talk) 21:28, 13 April 2025 (UTC)

::::Follow the instructions in Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, linked above. An uninvolved admin will come around to address your unblock request. I will allow that sysop to answer what questions you may pose. BusterD (talk) 21:35, 13 April 2025 (UTC)

:::::I'm not requesting to be unblocked — I'm too tired. I'm requesting information around the block. NotQualified (talk) 21:40, 13 April 2025 (UTC)

::::::I'm not sure what {{tqq|information around the block}} there is. You're blocked for 31 hours. You can make unblock requests on your talk page while you're blocked. That's it. - The Bushranger One ping only 03:30, 14 April 2025 (UTC)

:::::::I wanted to ask why 31 hours specifically as I needed to know for my own situation if that was necessary for some sort of mechanism I should have been made aware of, e.g. "blockings over 30 hours incur this". I see that for some reason this was flagged as me still trying to "bludgeon". Kafkaesque to hit me down for that whilst I'm gagged Buster, but I understand from your perspective that you were on high alert. NotQualified (talk) 10:11, 15 April 2025 (UTC)

Topic banned

By the consensus of the Wikipedia community, you have been topic banned from the topics of British politics and crime in Britain. Appealing this ban can be done by following the procedure detailed here; while the standard offer applies normally to site bans, it would be a good starting point for you here. - The Bushranger One ping only 03:02, 15 April 2025 (UTC)

:As I'm topic banned, feel free to go through the links on my user page and add it all in yourself. Wikipedia needs someone to do it and I'm now incapable Bushranger. It's all collated, it's all there. Easy as pie. I would've done it myself, if not the circumstances. A warning though that not all of them are reputable and also the topic is about group based child sexual exploitation, it's detailed on my talk page if you want to look into it.

:Anyways, are the corrective behaviours desired just bludgeoning related as that's what most people were focused on? Please clarify. NotQualified (talk) 10:14, 15 April 2025 (UTC)

::You would do well to read WP:TBAN, and to note that suggesting that someone else makes edits regarding the subject you are topic banned from itself constitutes a violation. AndyTheGrump (talk) 10:39, 15 April 2025 (UTC)

:::I'll read through it now. NotQualified (talk) 10:40, 15 April 2025 (UTC)

:::Read through and noted. NotQualified (talk) 10:44, 15 April 2025 (UTC)

::::Now that you're unblocked, you'll need to do far more than just take note. You'll need to take immediate action, removing all topic-related material (including links) from your user page right away. You would be wise to WP:Talk archive your talk page today and keep it free of any discussion or links to topic-related material. You restraining yourself from any future violations is an essential condition of your ban. It normally takes users a few minutes to get their head around this basic concept. You can't write about, host, or link to the subject on Wikipedia without being in violation of the topic ban and subject to immediate and escalating consequences. Do you clearly understand the importance of what I just conveyed to you? This will be a significant change for you. BusterD (talk) 13:02, 15 April 2025 (UTC)

:::::> You would be wise to WP:Talk archive your talk page today...

:::::What's the purpose of talk page archival? Also, you just told me hosting content is against the rules, so I can't even do that.

:::::> You restraining yourself from any future violations is an essential condition of your ban

:::::How long? I saw the minimum was six months, is that a usual length? Nil Einne mentioned it's also about showing active editing but beyond that, what's the rough wait time for a bludgeon offense in talk pages?

:::::> It normally takes users a few minutes...

:::::If you haven't noticed, I'm far more interested than most people in discussing in-depth details, even for Wikipedian standards. Probably a major part of the reason I even got this strike, now that I think of it. I understand your frustration though.

:::::> This will be a significant change for you.

:::::Yeah, I know. Shit sucks man. I feel bad for SlaterSteven cause this reminded me of them putting in the effort to make me aware of this a while back and I read it and then gradually felt that as no one had said I was doing it in a while, I hit the right balance.

:::::I can take down the user page, I'll wait for what Bushranger says on the other talk page. It's just dormant and not harming anyone as of now; if someone else wants to use it, they can. NotQualified (talk) 13:16, 15 April 2025 (UTC)

::::::I'm not here to negotiate. As a servant trusted by the community, I am politely informing a bad actor to clean up their mess and stop bad action. You should archive all of your talk completely (this would not be topic ban violation, it would be considered part of your appropriate response to the ban). You must clean up your user page removing any violations immediately. In the future you must restrain yourself from further violations. I recommend you re-read the entire banning policy page, because it answers the questions you posed. BusterD (talk) 13:30, 15 April 2025 (UTC)

:::::::I put the archive bot text on the top. Thanks for the wisdom. I never asked for negotiation, just clarification, nor did I say you weren't 'entrusted'. It was you who initially went to Bushranger over my user page, not me. NotQualified (talk) 13:35, 15 April 2025 (UTC)

  • Six months is the usual minimum to appeal - given exemplary conduct post ban. The topic ban is itself indefinite, and your behavior since the ban was imposed has been atrocious, with requests for proxy editing, Wikilawyering, and personal attacks on other editors. You are on very thin ice right now. Stop discussing this, and completely move on and away from the topic. - The Bushranger One ping only 19:17, 15 April 2025 (UTC)
  • :Understood. NotQualified (talk) 20:46, 15 April 2025 (UTC)
  • :Where is the saved archive, how does one view it NotQualified (talk) 15:33, 5 May 2025 (UTC)
  • ::At the top of the talk page is a yellow text box. In the second to last line, it should say, "Archives: Index, 1". Those are links to the archives. Since you just started, there's only one page, which the numeral one links to. As more things get archived, each numeral will link to a different archive (sorted chronologically by archive date). Hope this helps. EducatedRedneck (talk) 16:07, 5 May 2025 (UTC)
  • :::Thanks! NotQualified (talk) 16:22, 5 May 2025 (UTC)

Brazilian Olympics athlete

Do you have access to any sources (e.g., newspapers from 1988) about Ricardo Cardoso (judoka)? There are a few editors trying to get all articles about Olympics athletes deleted, if the current version only has sources to databases such as Olympedia or Sports-Reference.com. Athletes from countries where English is not the most common language are obviously disadvantaged, because most editors don't know how to find sources. I'd love to have your help with this. WhatamIdoing (talk) 20:08, 16 May 2025 (UTC)

:why am i being contacted about this? NotQualified (talk) 20:43, 16 May 2025 (UTC)

::You posted comments at the Village pump the other day that indicate that you are familiar with Brazil. When I ran across this poorly sourced stub about a Brazilian athlete, you seemed like a good person to ask. WhatamIdoing (talk) 22:05, 16 May 2025 (UTC)

:::may i ask which comment, also i can help with whatever i dont mind. if you want me to look into this specific ricardo i will. NotQualified (talk) 14:33, 17 May 2025 (UTC)

::::Your comment about the "right to respond" suggests that you are familiar with Brazil.

::::Yes, please, I would like you to look into that athlete. WhatamIdoing (talk) 18:25, 17 May 2025 (UTC)

:::::I will see what I can do but if there's no sources then there's no sources. NotQualified (talk) 18:38, 17 May 2025 (UTC)

::::::I agree. The difficulty is when "there's no sources" means "there's no sources, and I only checked English-language American websites". There probably are sources in his hometown newspaper. WhatamIdoing (talk) 19:06, 17 May 2025 (UTC)

:::::::i will look into it. NotQualified (talk) 19:33, 17 May 2025 (UTC)
