I was informed that I may be violating conflict of interest policies. I'd noticed that some Wikipedia articles on Polish literature had been given links to an online bibliography of Polish Literature in English Translation that I created/manage; since the URL of the site has changed, I edited those articles to correct the address. I then decided that it might be useful to readers if I were to add a link to other articles on Polish authors/literary works as well.
This website, though it's hosted by roadrunner.com, is not a personal or profit site; it's a professional bibliography designed to be a service. The only thing it's intended to promote is Polish literature. (I use the free webspace provided by my ISP rather than the website of the community college at which I'm a professor for several reasons: the college's limited budget, lack of a streamlined way for me to upload changes, etc.)
If my addition of the URL for the site to external links sections for Polish authors/literary works is indeed a violation of conflict of interest/self-promotion policies, please let me know and I'll stop.

:Dear Constance, thank you for your quick explanation. With that, I am confident that your additions are indeed relevant and not a spam; please understand that being as popular as we are we get a ton of real and disquised spam and have to be careful in that regard. Have you ever considered licensing your website under a free license? That would help with its integration with our project. The best way to do so would be to expand our article with content created by you and reference your website (instead of using it as just an external link). --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 18:15, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
