Hello- I am a newbie and hope to become skilled enough to correctly write biographies of noted aviators. I'm the archivist at an aviation museum. My question is: I have access to a great deal of unpublished military records. For example- Aviators' DD-214, copies of their military award citations and some audio/digital biographical records collected from either the aviator or their family. Uhh... I checked my abuse log and saw some edit filters triggered. One of them was a "possible template vandalism" that was simply me trying, but failing to, update a template in a template sandbox, leading to me reverting it. Also, I'm planning to post an article on GDI malwares, and although they are popular on YouTube, there are not many articles on them. Hey there Mentor :)

I have for years now been irked by edits to the General Nathanael Greene page done 12/22/2018 [https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Nathanael_Greene&oldid=874965839] and finally am able to give some focus to this and figure out how to make proper edits in Wikipedia... Wondering if you have any advice for how to best rectify this slew of one source edits posted on one particular day?

In particular, wondering which would be easier:

(A) Reverting to the pre-12/22/18 version then adding edits made since by others?

OR

(B) Using current version, editing single source footnotes to add better citations?

OR

(C) Some other approach?

:FFRI1684, there's nothing wrong per se with relying on a single source (particularly if the article had no sources before), but it will tend to a more biased article. I would suggest adding more citations (you don't need to remove the single source, particularly if you can verify it backs up what it's used as reference for). — Qwerfjkltalk 16:45, 8 May 2025 (UTC)
