Distinguish from bhuiyar

Distinguish Bhumihar article from bhuiyar, a similar sounding caste. By adding this on the top of article.

[[2025 Pahalgam attack]]

Hi RP, the frenzy editing on the 2025 Pahalgam attack page has reduced, but now it is turning into a yet another Kashmir dispute page. I think we need your "no-second-revert-without-discussion" restriction. Do you remember it? It has been a long time since we had been there! -- Kautilya3 (talk) 07:32, 29 April 2025 (UTC)

:Might be a good idea. To you recall if we made a standard notice?RegentsPark (comment) 16:03, 29 April 2025 (UTC)

:: {{tps}} I had looked up the CTOP paperwork for Rajput last month and so can save you the search. See {{t1|Contentious topics/page restriction talk notice}} and {{t1|Contentious topics/page restriction editnotice}}. Cheers. Abecedare (talk) 16:40, 29 April 2025 (UTC)

::::{{ping|Abecedare}} Thanks. I haven't done this in a long while so, to confirm, I paste the appropriate code into the page notice page for this article. Right?RegentsPark (comment) 19:01, 29 April 2025 (UTC)

::::: If, say, you wish to apply an indef 1RR page restriction at 2025 Pahalgam attack then you'd:

:::::# Post {{Contentious topics/page restriction talk notice|topic=ipa|1RR=y|placed-date= April 29, 2025}} at Talk:2025 Pahalgam attack

:::::# Post {{Contentious topics/page restriction editnotice|topic=ipa|1RR=y}} at Template:Editnotices/Page/2025 Pahalgam attack

:::::# Drop a note at Talk:2025 Pahalgam attack explaining the above restriction (eg), since afaik the above notices are not visible to mobile editors!

:::::# Log the restriction at WP:AELOG

:::::# Keep a printed record of everything above in triplicate for the auditors, or something like that. ;)

:::::Btw, I haven't checked if/what particular restriction would be appropriate for that article, but as an individual admin the only ones you can choose from are listed here. Happy adminning! Abecedare (talk) 19:42, 29 April 2025 (UTC)

::: This was the [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Kashmir_conflict/Archive_4#Edit_restrictions_in_effect_from_September_2016_(copied_from_archive) 2016 version of the edit restrictions] for Kashmir conflict. (1RR was removed in this version.) -- Kautilya3 (talk) 17:19, 29 April 2025 (UTC)

Oops! The EC-protection also expired all of a sudden. Can you please put it back on ECP long term? This is Kashmir conflict after all! -- Kautilya3 (talk) 14:45, 30 April 2025 (UTC)

  • Done for six months. Hopefully things will settle down by then. RegentsPark (comment) 15:38, 30 April 2025 (UTC)

Sloane, Arthur A. (1991). Hoffa

I have the book in front of me on as I read and edit. It is actually page 14. I am adding frank kierdorf, because it seems he was the inspiration for the fictional character of Billy Flynn in the Nicholson film. https://archive.org/details/hoffa00sloa (book can be read here) 78.150.126.123 (talk) 15:38, 7 May 2025 (UTC)

:No worries. Though it sounds like Hoffa, it should be sourced. RegentsPark (comment) 15:53, 7 May 2025 (UTC)

May 2025

Hi there! I have seen that you have reverted my edits on Sam Manekshaw twice. When you reverted my first edit, you stated that there is no definitive flag of British Raj which indeed is actually correct so, after realising my mistake, I edited the page again. This time I changed the code so that it will display the British Indian flag with the text "British India" nearby. But, you also reverted this edit of mine saying that the flag is unreliable but actually the pages, K. M. Cariappa and Sir Edward Quinan also use the same flags with the same names being displayed adjacent to them. So, I request you to not revert my edit on Sam Manekshaw this time because I am adding flags which are correct and not doing any vandal's work.

Would also like to hear from you as to why you removed it and what could be done next. Have a nice day!
