Unwatching JKR
It's always really hard to disengage but sometimes for health/sanity/personal reasons it's the healthiest thing to do. Personal life always comes first and you are working under extremely difficult circumstances. Please take care of yourself and be well. I'm sending good thoughts in your direction. In the meantime, I'll keep an eye out as much as possible. Victoria (tk) 15:29, 27 June 2025 (UTC)
:Thanks Victoria! It's just insanity to spend my remaining days with my husband mired in things that aren't enriching or positive -- I've got enough of that IRL. There are other factors which tipped the scale away from participating. I've never been bothered since I unwatched James Joyce after so many years of maintenance of an FA I didn't write, so I know it's not hard to walk away. You take care as well ... I hope things are trending upwards for you! SandyGeorgia (Talk) 16:41, 27 June 2025 (UTC)
:: I'm sorry that JKR turned into a problem rather than a joy for you, but I think unwatching is probably a good idea. I will make an offering that things are as well as can be for you and your husband. Ealdgyth (talk) 17:02, 27 June 2025 (UTC)
:::Thank you again. I am getting better at dealing with what I'm dealing with; acceptance has been a hurdle that I may have now overcome, and I'm sure glad to have the anger over getting no help behind me :( SandyGeorgia (Talk) 17:05, 27 June 2025 (UTC)
::::I hope our interactions haven't contributed to your stress too much. I know we haven't always understood each other well there but I think we ultimately both care a lot about literature and I think we both ultimately want a neutral article built on high quality reliable sources there. Anyway, all the best, I do have a sense of what you're going through as I've seen my mother go through the same struggle with my father for several years now and so you have my deepest sympathy for that. :::::Not at all Simonm223; not to worry. I do regret that misunderstanding we had, which was poor phrasing on my part -- trying to do too much in between metaphorical "bed pan changes". And thanks for the kind thoughts. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 17:38, 27 June 2025 (UTC)
