FP&A page

Hey there! I made some detailed updates the FP&A page, citing new sources, cleaning up the text, and making (what I thought) were improvements. It was flagged as not adding "reliable sources" and totally reverted. Was there a section that you saw as needing more sources in particular? If so, I'm happy to further edit. Thanks for your help! Cory Schroeder (talk) 10:40, 15 April 2025 (UTC)

:Hi there. The reason I reverted your edit was because the sections you added appeared promotional and were unsourced. I’ve looked again at the edits you made and now realise the reason that they appeared this way is because they were done by an LLM (AI). At Wikipedia, use of large language models is discouraged because they often hallucinate. Also, as seen in the content you added, they can appear promotional. I would strongly discourage adding AI generated content to articles, especially if it is unsourced. I hope this helps, ScrabbleTiles (talk) 10:47, 15 April 2025 (UTC)

::Thanks very much for this explanation. The content itself isn't written by AI, but my goal was to keep it quite high-level and base it on content I've written/read about FP&A. Is there no way to add new content about key functions citing existing blog posts on the topics? The citations on this page seem to be already a bit odd, e.g., the first sentence has 5 separate citations. Thanks! Cory Schroeder (talk) 10:58, 15 April 2025 (UTC)

:::Blog posts wouldn’t be good citations as they are original research and can be counted as self published works. As to the sections not being generated by AI, some of them have got a 100% AI hit on AI detection services which leads me to believe they are, unless you write in the exact same way as an AI and use the exact same formatting/fonts that they do. ScrabbleTiles (talk) 13:05, 15 April 2025 (UTC)

::::Thanks for that explanation, and noted! To check, why are the citations 1, 2, 3, and 5 not flagged, as they all lead to blog posts or personal LinkedIn articles?

::::I'm not sure about the fonts, but if the formatting is referring to the use of bullet points, bold text, etc. then it will be similar, as I try to keep to best practices/most easily-scannable content. Either way, I don't want to add sub-par content or anything with hallucinations in it. So I will keep your feedback in mind. Thanks! Cory Schroeder (talk) 13:42, 15 April 2025 (UTC)

Question from [[User:BlakeVarnadoeAuthor|BlakeVarnadoeAuthor]] (01:15, 22 April 2025)

can you write an article about me for me? --BlakeVarnadoeAuthor (talk) 01:15, 22 April 2025 (UTC)

:I don’t tend to write articles for people. The reason that all your articles are getting declined/deleted appears to be because you are failing WP:NPOV with your tone of writing. If you can make an article that is written from a neutral point of view, then people don’t tend to have a problem with it. ScrabbleTiles (talk) 07:55, 22 April 2025 (UTC)
