:This account is NOT a sockpuppet for AfD!!! Didn't anyone notice that it was created about the time that ANON's stopped being able to create "New" articles? I created this account because I can no longer file things on AfD using my normal IP account User:24.17.48.241. Jeez. Regforafd 23:03, 3 January 2006 (UTC)
Would somebody that can, please change this username to "Iaminseattle" or "Iaminseattlenow" if the first one is already in use, since the current username has caused problems due to misinterpretation. Regforafd 23:09, 25 January 2006 (UTC)

List of Indiana State Roads
I was going to take care of the article names in the list shortly. However, this move is not disputed -- I'm not using parens for disambiguation here. the discussion here points out that " If someone wants to move to Routes go ahead though, but we need the caps". This is basd on the erroneous comment that Indiana has "state routes," when they in fact have "State Roads". Hence, I'm only correcting his statement in that "if anyone wants to move to Roads go ahead though". This is not discussed to death. atanamir 23:08, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
Editing pussy
You wrote: "I can't believe I had to log in to make such a trivial edit".
Regrettably, for a long time the pages duck (because of the silly public image of ducks) and pussy (because of the sexual slang sense of "pussy") have been persistently vandalized and at least 90% of their edits wwre vandalism and reverts, so that both had been semiprotected. Really old edits
Man, would've thought they'd be fixed by now. Then again I should be cleaning up my own messes, so I'll get on that. --Wizardman 23:28, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
re: James Moody
Move done! Only reason I didn't do it before was that I wasn't sure which was wanted. All cleared up now, hope that works. Cheers, Snoutwood 09:21, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

Snoutwood's note: I moved this post from your userpage, where I believe it was accidentally posted (diff). Apologies if this was a mistake on my part. Snoutwood 03:17, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
Hi - you wrote:

They go below all nav footers, but whether they go before or after the cats is largely a matter of personal preference. Most stub-sorters put them after them, though, so that the stub category appears last in the category list. The relevant info is here. Not sure why they're putting in so much white space though... Grutness...wha? 04:48, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

Removal of links from high school articles
You have started a series of edits removing relevant informational links from high school articles, with an edit summary of "rmv tangential ext links". As these links are directly relevant to the schools, they will be reinserted. If you have any specific reasons as to why they must be removed, please provide the relevant information. Re Cedric G. Boulter and Patricia Neils House (Cincinnati, Ohio)
Hey. Regarding the Ohio-Hamilton-NRHP-struct-stub template, I'm doing a trial run with a bot, so soon there will be about 200 more articles with that template, so it will eventually be its own stub, I was just having it upmerge temporarily until those other articles are created. Regarding your other changes to the article though, I will modify the creation template to incorporate those in to future articles. pw 01:27, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
:Yeah I went back and forth over the disambiguation in the title, the reason I went ahead and did it though was that there are tens of thousands of records in their database, and many of them take the form of "LastName House", so I figured it may be a little easier to pre disambig the data by putting the place in the title. I'm open to others input though, if someone can think of a better way to do it. I just wanted to avoid a lot of moving in the future (since I didn't build that in to the bot yet, haha). About the comma thing, yeah, I hand cleaned a lot of the titles but some I may have misinterpreted, thanks for the catch, I'll have to recheck names with "and" in the title. pw 12:09, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

It was impossible to move PRIMA to Prima. Wikipedia considers them to be one and the same page for the purpose of movement. It is impossible to change capitalization via movement. Thanks. Colchicum 08:42, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

Random Edits?
I'm curious as to why you are randomly editing articles that I've started. It's logical to conclude that if you are going to make an actual contribution then you edit the articles systematically, but you aren't. Also, can you reference an MoS on why you are chaning how I write headers? If not, then I don't think there is a problem with how I'm doing it. Hosikawafuzi 04:18, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
::That seems reasonable. I couldn't figure out why you were only doing articles that I had just completed. Since it seems that I'm the one doing a lot of work on this particular train line, it seemed odd. I was trying to make all of those article look consistent. I thought if you were really trying to help you would start at the beginning and make the changes all the way through, but if you were just looking at a list of articles, I can see why you didn't do that. I still have more stuff to translate and add to those articles as time goes on, so I or someone else will go through them all and clean stuff up, I'm sure. Hosikawafuzi 09:03, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
Tagging of :The French Game
I recently removed a speedy delete tag that you had placed on :The French Game. I do not think that The French Game fits any of the speedy deletion criteria because this is probably not notable, it may be a hoax, but it is not Patent nonsense. I have tagged accordingly. I request that you consider not re-tagging The French Game for speedy deletion without discussing the matter on the appropriate talk page. DES (talk) 02:51, 29 July 2007 (UTC)

Hi, I have removed the speedy tag you placed on the above article. You mentioned in your edit summary that "assertions don't count", however an assertion of notability is all that the speedy deletion criteria requires. If you believe that assertion is false or not sufficient to establish notability, you may submit the article for PROD or AfD. You also mention in your edit summary WP:AUTO and WP:COI, neither of which is a speedy criteria. Dsmdgold 20:47, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
re: Emmure
Oh, I made an error in transferring that file, then. Thanks for that information. I'll keep it in mind.
Freightquote.com
I have declined to speedy delete Freightquote.com, it is more spammy that it should be, but it asserts notability and the spam can be edited out. While it asserts notability, it is not clear that it is really notable, so you may wish to list it at WP:AFD, my guess is that a prod would be opposed by the creator (who may have a COI) in any event. :My interests in wikipedia have changed- I will no longer become an admin. As such, I don't have much patience for listing a request on some never-read backwater page when I can just do it myself with only a minor breach of protocol and no damage done. I know the rules, I know that page, (I used to be big on policy, look at my % of WP and WP talk edits) so any oversight is intentional --frotht 06:04, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

Sources for mods
Regarding the First Strike article: Can news updates from developers be used as references for upcoming mods? I take it I should also cut down the article so that it is more in line with Wiki policy? That is, not discussing gear, classes, withering fire, and so on, but focusing on what is currently found in the Gameplay, Publicity, and Criticism sections? --Safe-Keeper 01:01, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

I'm not sure what's meant by notability in this case then. If it requires controversy, protests, or major new laws, than most of the hate crimes recorded on Wikipedia under the Hate crimes against LGBT people category and on the Violence against LGBT people page would be disqualified because they didn't engender major protest or new laws, or much media coverage beyond local news.
Looking at the notability guidelines, what I get is this:
- Significant Coverage - I've included sources that address the subject in detail.
- Reliable - I've used sources I believe are reliable.
- Sources - I've used reliable, published secondary sources.
- Independent - I've used sources that are independent of the subject.
Beyond those basic notability guidelines, I'm not sure where it says that major controversy, new laws, etc., are a requirement for recording hate crimes. Are those specific requirements or subjective? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by TerranceDC (talk • contribs).

Proposed deletion of 2007 Java earthquake
Image:Ambox warning yellow.svg
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article 2007 Java earthquake, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the dated prod
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. User:Ceyockey (talk to me) 19:19, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

fails WP:GNG
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the proposed deletion/dated notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing proposed deletion/dated will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 09:00, 20 September 2022 (UTC)
